Easiest way is to go into the guide and just set four programs from different channels that run at the same time.

Careful, I think you need to choose channels carried on three different multiplexes to guarantee seeing all three tuners in use.

So I did a test on the so called 3 tuners but its showing only one working, I have contacted Humax

    and awaiting a reply.

You will only see the tuners that are in use. Try setting simultaneous recordings for BBC1 HD, BBC2 SD and ITV1 SD and you should see all three tuners in use.

By modern devices with Freeview Play, Freeview mean post 2020 as that was when the specification was updated.

The 2021 version of the specification was published in June 2020 and the Aura was launched in October 2020. I think it does incorporate some features from the 2021 specification.

Unless the Aura were to be updated (and I think that highly unlikely) then it won’t get any of the newer Freeview Play features.

I agree we are unlikely to see any additional features.

The aerial goes into the humax first and then another from out to in on the TV with hdmi.

As a diagnostic try connecting an aerial cable from the Humax output aerial socket to the TV input aerial and see if the TV will receive HD. If it does the problem is definitely with the Humax, if it doesn’t we need to think of tests to isolate where the problem is located.

Dish size? Err um, it’s at least a metre though, and there is nothing blocking it

    (ie a tree).

    Worth discussing with Pulsat.

I don’t know what satellite they are aligning it to at the moment, so when “pulsat” return, perhaps l should get them to try aligning it with the Astra 2E satellite?

    Again worth discussing with Pulsat.

It’s by a homeplug to my router downstairs.

Try unplugging the Homeplugs at each end for 30 seconds. If that doesn’t work, try power cycling the router.

Hi I have HB1000S. Despite it says I’m connected to the network it says I have no Internet connection.

Please could you tell us if the box is connected via LAN network port or WiFi? If is connected via the network port are there any Powerline or HomePlug devices involved?

Regarding the HDR1000S with the missing recordings I think you will find the resistor theory just a red herring to throw people off the scent

Agreed that it isn’t a resistor problem; how the theory originated is a matter of opinion.

just Re flow the BGA processor under the heatsink and all your recordings will be restored .

Agreed that is the only method that has any success.

Here in SW France, have now lost every HD Channel, apart from HD channel 5, funnily enough. The receiver is not receiving a signal or the signal is too weak.

Interestingly most BBC HD channels are from the Astra 2E satellite but Channel 5 HD is from Astra 2G. Have you tried BBC Four HD or BBC News HD which also some form Astra 2G?

Called in the local fixers here, a company called “Pulsat”, and they did in fact replace my old twin lnb (which was in fact duff), and re-aligned the dish accordingly.

How big is the dish? When did you lose the HD channels?

I’ve heard rumors that Humax/Freesat are going their different ways, so what box should l get which will give me BBC1/2/3/4 and ITV1 all in HD?

Humax and Freesat went their separate ways some years ago. My suspicion is that a new box will not help.

Just to say thank you to all who tried to help me. I didn’t manage to sort it out after trying all the suggestions but thanks anyway

Can I ask one question; in an early post you said “Samsung TV does not receive HD however, the aerial goes from wall direct to humax and then out to TV so I guess TV would not get HD this way.” Can I check are you saying there is an aerial cable running from the Humax to the TV or is there just the HDMI lead running from Humax to TV?

But since then I have been getting the same message after several programmes- all on BBC channels both SD and HD. In each case there is no problem at all with the recording. Has anyone any idea why this is happening, please? Although it is not affecting the recordings at the moment I’m worried it could be a symptom of trouble to come.

If the Humax notices even a tiny glitch in the recording stream it will show a message; it isn’t anything to worry about if the recordings are watchable. I doubt that it is a portent of future problems. A more typical sign of future problems is when the playback is broken up but there is no message.

Further to my previous enquiry I now find that my Humax 9300t has No volume at all.

The volume control buttons on the handset are obsolete. Any suggestions Please.

You need to tell us whether you are connecting using a SCART cable or an HDMI cable? (The SCART cable has a large connector, the HDMI a small connector.)

It is described by some as a myth, but often suggested by others as a source of interference which can knock out a single Mux as you are experiencing.

I am quite sure it isn’t a myth; I have certainly experienced interference due to a carpet fitter managing to leave the leads into the TV in a terrible tangle.

I don’t know what or how to do mux 35?

Ah we thought you knew because you talked about changing the transmission type.

Go to channel settings; select Manual Channel Search, enter the channel number as 35, set the transmission type to DVB-T2 and make sure Network search is off and see what it comes up with.

    BBC 1 SD.

    Strength is. 71%

    Quality is. 100%

OK that is perfectly acceptable. I am struggling to understand the problem. Have you spoken to the aerial installer?
