They are still marked as 017/025 etc and will soon reach 25 and stop me putting new schedules in.
Why do you think the limit is 25?

Some of the weaker channels freeze / stutter occasionally but can
t expect miracles with a loft aerial. Signal strength 88% quality 100% seems pretty good id say. Would an external aerial improve things even more or is it good enough as is?I would say an external aerial would makes things worse. 88% signal strength is more than enough and might even be a touch too high.

I have two of the above pvr’s and I am due for an upgrade. Am I right in thinking the Humax DTR-T2000 (silver coloured one) is the new flagship model?
I would have thought that Humax would regard the FVP-4000T Freeview Play box as the current flagship box. It is a bit of a Marmite box (some people love it, some people hate it) so read up before considering it. Similarly the Youview boxes like the DTR-T2000 have several significant limitations compared to the HDR-FOX T2 so again do your research.

Managed to save an HD programme to my external hard drive, which is a great feature. It would be great if I could plug it in to my pc to view it there, but this does not seem to be possible as it’s a .ts file which VLC for example can’t read
There is a way to solve your problem but it outside the rules of this Forum to discuss it here. hummy.tv might be more productive.

will this work on 64 bit machines as it says it has been designed for 32 bit machines?
Yes it works fine.

All you have to do is pay postage?
Comes from working machine, but has been hooked up to a windows PC and formatted on that.
No takers then it’s a bin job no point in going ebay
For which machine? The 9200T has an IDE drive and the 9150T has a SATA drive.

If Panasonic can do this without losing the recording then surely Humax should be able to do the same.
One of the first features implemented in the custom firmware for the HDR-FOX T2 was the capability to save the recording schedule and optionally automatically restore it. The code will also attempt to correct the schedule if the retune has moved channels around. In my experience it works very well and it remains a mystery to me why Humax haven’t implemented something similar,

As that has always been what’s happened with my 9200Ts
If you go back far enough there was a time with the 9200T when the recording schedule was left intact. Whether or not recordings took place was of course a bit of a lottery depending on what had changed.

No idea, Basic support must be in the Linux core
The Linux kernel can certainly be configured to support EFI GUID partitions but it will be a kernel build option and certainly earlier Humax boxes don’t have it enabled.

Would a 3Tb disk work inside the Humax box itself?
I do not think anyone has tried larger than 2Tb. I would expect that it would work and imagine in the worst case you would need to format the partitions yourself. You should go for an AV/CE drive.
Really? Does the Humax kernel support the necessary EFI GUID partitions for a drive larger than 2TB?

I’m about to replace my stone age Sony TV with a Samsung UE32H6200 smart TV and wonder if the Humax will accept the changes?
Yes should be fine although the picture quality over SCART won’t be as good as could be achieved by a more modern PVR over HDMI.

Should I assume there have been NO updates over the last 4 years or have I missed something?
No updates I am afraid and I very much doubt that there will be any in the future.

It is a HDR 1800 T box – sorry don’t know where PT came from!
OK, if you connect the HDR-1800T to your network you will be able to get BBC iPlayer via the Humax.
