in EDIT CHANNELS … after deleting a channel … how do you get it back … or is it lost for all time. Or is it only restored by doing an AUTOTUNE of all channels, which of course resets your favourites … so you have to go through them all again.
You could work out which multiplex carries the missing channel and manually tune just that multiplex.

Picture breakup is a signal quality problem and not a problem with the box.
Not necessarily; it could for instance be a hard drive problem.

It certainly sounds like the issue is with the coax and/or fittings going into your “new” extension.
I think we need to be told what the signal strength and quality are before going further. If it is signal strength it could be too much signal or too little.

Still no good and I have to admit I’m getting somewhat fraught.
It sounds as though there is a signal strength or quality issue. What is the signal strength and quality as reported by the Humax?

Hi, currently i have a fox t2 box which i have always loved, it not gives a green screen nearly every day when turning it on, i have to switch everything off for a while to usually get it to come back on which usually works eventually.
i have recently done a full wipe and reset but still does it.
So looks like time for a new box?
anyway i was looking at the newer 5000 model but all i see if largly negative things about all the newer boxes, mainly saying how annoyingly slow they are, has there been any fixes for this via fw?
I am still using an HDR-FOX T2 and keeping an eye on new developments. My impression is that the FVP-5000T is now pretty stable and there have been some improvements in the responsiveness of the user interface but there are still complaints about the speed from some people. Do remember that users who are content are less likely to come on Forums. I don’t often need three tuners so I am in no hurry to change although as I get older I do use sub-titles more and the HDR-FOX T2 does suffer from issues with sub-titles getting out of synch which is apparently fixed on the newer models. I think your options are a second hand HDR-FOX T2 to tide you over for a few years until something clearly better emerges, evaluation of the FVP-5000T to see if you could live with it or possibly one of the later Youview boxes such as DTR-T2000.

The splitter does attenuate the signal, which is not too strong IMHO.
Those signal strengths look fine to me. I am surprised that a signal strength of what I guess would be just below 50% with the splitter is not sufficient. In the past I have run for extended periods with signal strength around 30%. Does anyone know if the transmission mode has an effect on the required signal strength?

I got a new aerial as my signal strength is not the best
So what are the signal strengths and quality as reported by the Humax on the multiplexes you can receive?

Have you considered your signal strength is just too high.
The quoted numbers are not the actual signal strength but the numbers you requested from the DTG reception predictor.

Pendant mode on DTR T1000 is a YouView unit.
The pedant in me requires me to suggest that you meant “Pedant mode”

If this forum is supported by Humax why are there still so many problems left unfixed.
This forum is not supported by Humax so what is your point?

I have even tried connecting through a VPN but the app developers block this as many use this option to connect from outside the UK.
I think it is probably caused by the Carrier grade NAT used on 4G networks. Strange that my Smart TV and PC’s apps, and other options such as Roku, function normally though.
I would guess that the key difference between the Smart TV and PC apps compared to the Humax is that they connect direct to the relevant server whereas the Humax works through a gateway server operated by Humax.

My 9300T burned out during a recent power supply cut. Is it possible to remove the loaded hard drive and insert in an external case to use with an HD-Fox T2 ?
Yes that should be fine (assuming the hard drive wasn’t damaged).

Checked the list of reservations and they’ve all been deleted! Anyone know why?
Has the Humax retuned itself which would delete the schedule of recordings?

I have the same issue, connects to the lan, using dhcp or manual, does not connect to the internet.
Lan connection is ok, I can see the Humax system and browse the files.
This all occurred after the latest upgrade, where before it was working perfectly.
What make and model of router do you have?

assuming the restriction is maximum number of files in a directory.
The problem won’t be maximum number of files in a directory (the maximum for a flat file system will be 4,294,967,295).
