Is it possible to save the scheduled recordings before updating channels?
The only way to do it is to install the custom firmware for the HDR-FOX T2.

My HDR 1100 failed to record Corrie tonight whereas there is a planned recording for an hour-long Corrie tomorrow night – which won’t be broadcast because of the footie. If I’m not on my own, I’m guessing the original ITV schedule was for no Corrie tonight but one tomorrow.
Yes I noticed earlier today that Corrie wasn’t showing in the list of scheduled recordings and I set it to series record and it worked. The phantom Tuesday episode was in the schedule and I had to cancel it so that I could set a recording of the football. I have also seen problems with BBC News programs failing to record after the football.

Sounds stramnge though why would the box say the signal is too weak, yet lowering the signal has fixed it? lol
I think it is strange as well. With high signal levels you can saturate the tuners which reduces their performance and the reported signal level but usually this is reported with signal levels above about 85%. I really don’t understand what is going on in your case.

Replaced with 5000T and the HD channels are viewable with no bother, everything else is unwatchable. Any thoughts please or is this a common 5000T problem as I am also likely to return to store.
Not a common problem. What is the signal strength and quality on the HD channels?

Why do I get the word audio with the red button on my screen , Never saw this before
I take that is on a BBC channel? I think it is coming from the BBc; when I pressed the red button in response (expecting a choice of audio streams) I just got the standard red button menu.

Update: On Humax CBBC shows as LCN 120 which does not work and there is another entry at LCN 201 which does. The retune has duplicated the program with two different LCNs. I can’t however find any duplicate for ITV 3
Did you do a Smart Retune or an ordinary automatic retune? Doing a factory reset would not delete your recordings unless specifically instructed to delete them.

Humax FBP 4000T: I don’t know when I lost this channel but I cannot get LCN 10. “The channel is scrambled or not available”. I have tried a full retune.
ITV3 is carried on the same multiplex as ITV, Channel4 and Channel5; I assume you can receive those? If you can then I am with Humax and very puzzled.

We have run a factory reset but still no recording possible. Why has this happened and is there a solution
Most likely explanation is that the hard drive has died. You could fit a new hard drive or buy a new PVR. I would be inclined to the latter solution.

Sorry yes 2 or 3 found channels.
Can you clarify whether you were setting transmission type correctly for each multiplex?
So if the aerial is pointing SW do I need to turn it round to 296 degrees which is the direction of Bilsdale from here.
Quite possibly. Which direction do your neighbours have their aerials pointing?

I think about 2/3 of these found channels but most didn’t return any
Is there a typo there? Your statement appears to contradict itself.
I would guess the 2/3 means 2 or 3 multiplexes found channels; your suggestion about Transmission type sounds the most likely explanation.

Well … Brian & Martin … you must have some very special rc units … and you should look after them with very special care.
So which Humax boxes have you used? I am well aware that some Humax remotes have not been brilliant but I am taking issue with your statement that “all Humax remotes are terrible”.

We were wondering if there is a need with Humax recordings’ filenames to avoid certain characters – e.g. “:” – as in Windows.
i.e. when using the Web interface (webif), which characters should we avoid using in directories and filenames?
Are you referring to the web interface of the custom firmware for the HDR-FOX T2? If so you would be better asking the question over at hummy.tv where the real experts on the custom firmware are to be found.

The remote, like all Humax remotes, is terrible.
Why do you think all Humax remotes are terrible? I am happy with the remote for the HDR-FOX T2 which is still giving good service after 7 years.

I have a spare drive and an external enclosure but unable to read data on Foxsat drive. Assume possible incompatibility like Linux?? & Win 10.
Probably the easiest way would be to install EXT2FSD which will allow Windows to read Linux EXT2/EXT3/EXT4 file systems; see http://www.ext2fsd.com/

Just installed new LG OLED with OLED soundbar and connected old HUMAX 2000T. Picture perfect but no sound. Any ideas? Thanks
How is the Humax connected to the soundbar?
