If I either press the Netflix button or access the Netflix App via the Players menu, the box will not connect to the App (just get a blank screen).
There have been a number of recent reports of problems with the Netfilx app. The fix that has worked for other users is a reset to default settings for the FVP.

I have never heard of ‘a great improvement’ of a WiFi connection over a cable connection.
It wasn’t a hardwired cable connection; the first post in the thread says it was using Homeplugs which will usually work well in a domestic environment but not always.

OK so the software is up to date. There have been a couple of recent reports about Netflix not working that were resolved by doing a reset to default settings.

Hi
On my fvp4000t the Netflix tile is on the on demand screen but when I try to
Open it nothing happens and I can’t open the app .
Any advice would be appreciated. All other app work. I have just acquired this box so I don’t know if it has ever worked.
What software version is it running?

ParticipantPlease don’t answer questions asked on the Forum via Private Message. I understand the box is an FVP-5000T. My first thought is to check whether the HDMI lead connecting to the TV is well separated from the aerial leads.

If you choose watch from the beginning and then quit playback aren’t you offered delete. Pretty sure my 5000T does this.
I find the behaviour is inconsistent. I usually exit a recording by using the back button (having experimented previously and thought it gave me a slightly higher chance of getting to the delete option): I would say about 65% of the time I get to a screen where I can delete, the rest of the time I am just dumped back to live TV. This had been discussed here before and I am not alone in seeing similar behaviour. I haven’t managed to observe any obvious pattern that determines what will happen.

Has anyone determined which components are causing the problem?
There have been various theories and people have tried replacing various components without success.

I’m surprised, as it seems to be a common problem, that no-one has come up with a fix.
Several people have tried but so far nobody has found the solution. Several boxes sent for repair have come back working and with recordings intact so the problem is fixable.

I’ve done both a default (not smart) automatic search and a manual tune on Channel 24 – no change, still More4 on channel 14 and 4music on channel 18.
Strange!!!!!! Are there any tech guys from Humax on this forum?
As far as I know nobody from Humax has posted to this forum for a very long time. Barry who was instrumental in setting up the forum did have good contacts within Humax but he decided to stop posting here a while ago.
As for your problem, my advice is to do a full manual tune using the instructions at https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/manual-tuning-instructions-1

ive not done it yet as i have recordings running, would i use the smart option first as i don’t really fancy going through resetting recordings and creating a new favs list.
Just be aware that although the smart retune option does work a lot of the time, it can on occasion leave the tuning in a very odd state.

Problem with trying to use the RF cable is that you need to get the TV running in analogue, which is not always obvious how to do.
I didn’t think the 9150T had a built in modulator so how would going into analogue help?

ParticipantMy guess is that the SCART lead is faulty; is it possible to try another one?
