InactiveI have set up a Triax Tri link to feed a second TV from my 1000s which I use for a Samsung TV
As there is an HDMI between the Humax and TV, do I need the scart between the TV and Trial – there is no Scart connector on the Samsung anyway?
Also as I have no Freeview terrestrial aerial, I assume not using this connection to the Triax and then to the TV does not affect anything

ParticipantIn all probability your TV will have a compact socket (looks like a HDMI socket) that can be used as a scart socket using a special cable.
However you don’t need to connect to a scart on your TV. Other than power to the trilink the only connections from the HDR1000S is to supply CVBS (Composite) Video and Analogue Audio. This can be from the HDR1000S scart socket or the Yellow(Video) and Red/White (Audio) RCA Phono sockets on the HDR1000S. A single coax to the remote TV is all you need – simply tune the remote TV’s analogue tuner to the single PAL channel the triax modulator creates on the coax. Stick the small ir repeater on the shelf just in front of the HDR1000S ir window.

The one marked AV input. If you intend to use a magic eye at the remote TV to give you remote control capability the coax to the remote TV connects to RF2 out. This provides 9V DC power for a magic eye (aka Skylink).

InactiveGood quality picture now on second TV and IR responds well however when I turn on second TV and power up the 1000s the main TV also turns on – surely this should not happen?
