Had a look at this to see if there is some internal attenuation involved in splitting the signal to the 3 tuners.
A 3 way passive split would reduce the signal strength by approx 6dB.
I tuned to the 3 different mux with no recordings to get a measurement with no recordings.
BBC 1 HD Strength 90% Quality 100%
BBC 1 SD Strength 85% Quality 100%
ITV 1 SD Strength 84% Quality 100%
Started a recording on ITV 1 SD (Tuner 1)
Switched to BBC 1 SD started second recording (Tuner 2)
Switched to BBC 1 HD started 3rd recording (Tuner 3).
The two SD channels (Tuner 1 and 2) showed same figures, tuner 3 (BBC 1 HD Signal strength up from 95% to 100%, quality still at 100%.
As expected there is a small gain amp to recover splitting losses.
Perhaps try increasing the strongest mux to around 90%.
