One month old HDR-1010S and having issues with the remote control.

First the STB button remained on (flickering red), leaving the screen flashing the TV guide on/off and none of the other buttons would work.

It took 4 days for support to get back and recommend taking the batteries out and holding the standby button for 60 seconds.

This method worked but the following day the remote again faulted. I now got a blank tv guide on the screen, but could not change channel by selecting one (I have rechecked screw connections so it is not a wiring issue).

Again I reset the remote but today I have the same blank guide issue, while non of my recordings can be selected to play.

I previously owned a Humax PVR 9200T and currently a Humax Foxsat HDR and I must say the remote supplied with the HDR-1100S has a very cheap plasticky feel to it and lacks the quaity of earlier remotes.
