InactiveLong time away from the forum, but everything fine until recently!
My son has been watching Robot Wars Fifth Wars on challenge and has a library of them on the HDR-1000S. We then started recording Robot Wars Extreme but for some reason, each new episode records but is auto-deleted before the next episode starts (I haven’t checked but possibly deleted overnight).
Now, the Extreme episode is appearing in the same folder as the Fifth Wars series, which makes me think that they share the same series ID(?). But can’t for the life of me see why deletions are occurring?
Disk is 65%ish full.
I did have my box paired with the freesat app but I thought I had unpaired, but I still occasionally hear it power up in the wee hours – do I need to re-attempt?
Many thanks,
Alan..

InactiveI have exactly the same thing happening to me for the same programme. Each episode deletes even if unwatched or if they are marked as kept. Never seen it any other time. Very annoying.

ParticipantProgramme recorded OK on both a Foxsat-HDR and HDR1000S. It was OK at 23:00 last night.
Series recording folder and recording itself vanished overnight on HDR1000S, Foxsat is fine. No failed recording message either. 😳

InactiveI was definitely recording the ep on the 18th at 18:00 but nothing, zip, zilch in my recordings, very odd.

Bear with us, testing continues

My experience matches yours, the episode appears until the box goes into sby. After that when the box is rebooted all trace disappears. Whether it gets deleted as the box goes into sby or during the subsequent reboot is anyone’s guess.
There are a lot of permutations, for instance the box records while on, or it records from sby and the box returns to sby before looking for the recording.
Did you actually boot the box while recording (if recording from sby) and view the recording in the media list ?
Was the recording made while the box was fully on. Did the recording appear in the list until you shut down the box and rebooted it later. ?

InactiveI can’t say for certain that I saw it in the recordings list, but I think I did just before putting Strictly It Takes Two on. The box recorded it from standby (REC was showing on display), didn’t give it anymore thought until the following day when I noticed it was absent.
