    Can anybody confirm if mkv files can be played on an HDR 1000S? When I pressed play it said something like “this file is corrupt or not supported” Maybe it does but the file I have is coded differently? I’m not very techie about these kind of things.

    mkv is just a container. Need to know what video and audio compression codecs are within the container.

    Download MediaInfo and use Treeview to look at the file details. You can export to a text file if you want to post the details.

    Thanks but I do’t need it any more. I found the same video as an mp4 file :)
