My iPlayer is showing listings, but all programs I’ve tried have a “couldn’t find program” style error if I try to play them.
Also, all of my recordings are missing.
There’s nothing wrong with my internet.
At least two other people also seem to have recently had a problem where on demand doesn’t work and their recordings are missing.
This seems like a trend to me. Has anyone had any better advice than “turn it off and on again a few times and hope for the best”?
I’ve also been experiencing this problem with lock ups. Had to power off the box twice already in the last week or so.
Feeling like the box has suddenly become unstable.
Has there been a firmware update recently?
For recordings that have disappeared – place the unit in standby for a few minutes and restart it. Don’t check the recordings until about 1 minute after the unit has fully booted.
Coming back to the unit on the following day, the recordings were back and iPlayer played once again.
There was another little hiccup with it being stuck on 5XXi resolution without audio instead of 1080p with audio, but turning the freetime box and the TV off and on again cleared it.
