Part of the info while recording and watching has always bemused me, below is a photo taken while paused during a recording of F1 (while it was still recording).
You can see I had watched 1hr 5mins and at that stage it had recorded 1hr 22minutes of a 2 hour programme.
So what does the green info “Recording now: 31/120 mins” mean. Yes the programme/recording was scheduled for 120mins but what is the ’31’.
Surely it should of said Recording now 82/120 mins ! As it had recorded 1hr 22mins ?
I always get similar info to this and it never makes any sense to me. So what part of the recording is 31 minutes ?

Okay sorted it, so if you start watching something while it is still recording the ‘recording now’ info in green will say the number of minutes of the live programme that has been recorded. Unfortunately that figure won’t be updated again throughout the whole recording unless you stop playback and start again.
