InactiveThis item has only just gone on sale (in the UK anyway) having completed Beta testing by some folk on here. I am not sure we can add much more than you can see and read in that advert but please pose your question and we’ll do our best. R-

InactiveThanks. A few questions:
Can it play HD recordings from the FVP4000T as this is not possible using DLNA?
Is the remote IR or Bluetooth (as it would be useful to hide it behind a wall-mounted TV)?
Can you set recordings on the FVP4000T from the H3?

InactiveYes to Q1 and Q3, and I believe the remote is IR.

InactiveWhat would be neat would be if it had the same form as a Chromecast that could be powered by a USB port on the TV and hidden behind the TV.

InactiveWhat is going on with the colour/trim of Humax boxes of late? First Cappuccino and Mocha and now Mahogany or Pine. Any TVs that look like that? This is definitely going to be hidden behind the TV if they release a Freesat version.

They appear to like names associated with coffee – H3 Espresso
(Admin note: moved thread to other humax products, and thread title edited to give full product name)

InactiveIf anyone is interested, I’ve located a copy of the quick install quide here: Quick start quide
Not all that much information, though. It is for the UK version if the page numbers are any quide.

InactiveA few more questions:
How many H3 can be paired with the FVP4000T?
How many recordings can be watched simultaneously if you have a number of H3?

Not sure anyone here can answer those questions currently with any degree of certainty.
I’ll ask Humax Towers.

InactiveI had a quick play with one of these tonight. The hardware looks good apart from the remote which was a bit of a letdown as unfortunately its IR based…
The main feature I wanted to try was the ability to playback recordings from a FVP-4000T. Unfortunately I could not get this to work. I could see the box in the DLNA section, but the Content folder was always empty. Live streaming worked fine for both HD and SD channels. App support as poor, with only YouTube, Netflix, TV Player and some rather dubious Humax apps. On a plus note app performance looked good, with quick navigation in the YouTube app.
