InactiveI can send SD recordings from my Humax FVP4000t to my iPad to watch with no problem, but I cannot find any way to send HD recordings. Is this, or will this ever be possible?

InactiveNot unless you can find a way of decrypting them.

I wouldn’t even know where to begin.
A Pair of secondhand HDR-FOX-T2’s connected to your home network are able to view all the recordings made on the other (this includes HD and SD). Technically they both have DTCP IP protected DLNA server and client capability.
Having two extends recording capability to 4 at the same time. Adding the custom firmware extends the capabilities a lot more but isn’t needed to remotely view recordings.

InactiveThanks for that ,I didn’t know that model had that capability. I can look at that possibility. Hopefully Humax will made an upto date model in the future.

Also the HD-FOX-T2 with custom firmware (very easy to install) will play back the recordings (SD and HD) from a FVP4000T on the same network.
This is a fairly cheap option, units on eBay for £35 or so.

The box needs to be a HDR-FOX-T2, the HD Fox-T2 lacks an internal hard disk.

I would have expected an HD to play recordings from an FVP via DLNA without a hard drive?

Pretty sure you need a usb Drive (and Hub) to even install the Custom Firmware on a HD-FOX-T2.

Why would you need the custom firmware to play recordings via DLNA?

I never said you did, the post I replied said.

Adding the CF enables sharing HD recordings on other kit that doesn’t have IP protected clients.
