InactiveI mentioned this in a post up there but it’ll probably get swamped ….
So…..
Anyone have a clue when the Aura app is being released?

InactiveMy guess is that for the app release there will also need to be a software/firmware update required on the box so that will come first.
So when we see that the app might not be far behind.

InactiveJust over 2 weeks ago they replied to me on FB with this:-
Quote:“Good Morning. The application was being beta tested when you contacted us. it has now closed testing and any identified issues are being corrected. The app should be available early December for all users.”By my estimate, 17th December no longger qualifies as “early December”…
Given the box is accessible via IP address quite easily, I’m not 100% convinced that the app will need an update. But similarly, given how basic the web interface is when accessing it directly I’m not massively excited about how feature-rich the app will be when it does come.

InactiveAsked them again via FB and got this response today:-
“Hi. Unfortunately the app release has been delayed. They released it back for a final test and an issue was discovered in it’s interface. The application is due release on 6th January now.”
So 6th Jan it is.

Ok, so someone at Humax Towers will get to Alpha Test it over Christmas

InactiveOn a positive note, at least they are testing it rather than handing it over untested.

InactiveI’ve messaged them again today. I don’t mind delay, but missing deadlines is a bit annoying!

Moderator6th Jan was never on the cards….they are not supposed to give dates.
January 8, 2021 at 1:13 pm #100887Anonymous
InactiveThey quoted that to me specifically as per my post above, so irrespective of whether they should or not – they did!
I can see on the sidebar there is a thread called “Aura – Android App Testing” which seems to link to a thread which no longer exists; or is it a hidden one that only some people can see?
If 6th Jan was never on the cards, and the marketing bumpf that came out at the start said “The Humax Aura app is coming soon to Android & iOS App Stores, expected to launch Nov 2020.” (that’s a quote from the still-live website!) do we have any hope of them ever hitting any dates with this?
Having had a bad experience early adopting the 3view PVR about 8 years ago, I’d put that to one side with the size of Humax compared to 3view as a start up in terms of delivering on promises. I hope we’ll see the app soon enough, even though I fully expect to be underwhelmed by it!

It wasn’t untested 🙄
Have you considered that the problems you have were already known ?
South Korea is much like we are in lockdown, is currently having the same problems ae we are. With many of the programmers in lock down. It will of course take longer to fix.
You should be able to see that Barry has offered a fix to anybody who is affected a fix to the Youtube search issue on the 4000/5000T boxes.
As I post this the BBC live TV – is on declaring a national covid emergency.
And you are moaning about such a trivial problems. Get real.
What specifically is your problem with the current firmware ????
My Aura on the latest firmware works fine for me . There are of course other outstanding issues. These wool

Thank you for that shot in the arm of realism! I have too fallen into the “why isn’t this fixed yet?” even though we’re in the midst of probably the biggest global crisis ever. We’re so used to being in the “I can have it now – it doesn’t work – ok fix it now”culture

Is South Korea in lockdown? So far South Korea has about 68,000 cases and 1,100 deaths in total. Yesterday, the UK had 68,000 cases and 1,300 deaths in one day! The Humax fan club are getting a bit desperate in their search for excuses.
