Got a tetchy Humax HDR1010S 1TB, around 9 months old or so. Worked pretty well with the odd issue here and there.

But now there is a new one which appears to have been causing issues with other owners!

The Remote will not control the box. I have discovered if I hold any of the buttons down and just wait, eventually the box will wake up and take notice. Everything is ok after that until you leave it for a while and then you have to do it all again.

I was going to do the usual, change batteries etc but after reading other peoples experiences I have not bothered. Also powering down the box from the mains and back on clears it. Problem eventually returns.

Is it worth downgrading the firmware?
