    Providing the Aura is connected to the Internet, the updates will happen silently with no user intervention.

    Hello… i cant find where to update freeview and solve this.

    Do i need to pair up bluetooth as well ?

    It should update automatically. You can check version via:

    Settings > Apps > See all apps > Show system apps > Freeview

    Version should be: 1.00_67_250320_ec44a7d27

    It is still not updated to this number.

    I performed an aura rebooot via the turn to standby, turn on for 5 minutes, turn off for 2 minutes, turn on again instruction in post 112, and it seemed like it has done the trick

    But this update number is still not updated

    Following this path (post 120) it now shows this number.

    Hopefully it will now be OK. Thats an update plus the earlier humax reboot.

    We have the same problem with Channel 6. Our old Humax which we replaced with an Aura last week as the old chap [12 years old] was green screening a lot, got ALL the free channels without difficulty. Plus you could save to a Cruzer Blade and make folders in either. The Aura has been programmed to do far less, and with more difficulty. Presumably it’s for those who want to connect it to the internet and watch Netflix etc. A real disappointment !

    Yes, I can confirm ITV4 not working. Fine using TV tuner.

    ITV4 (channel 26 in the EPG) on Mendip is playing up again for me on 19 September.

    During the day I got a black screen with occasion scraps of sound while Signal strength was 95% and Signal quality was 100%.

    By 9:30pm it was back to OK.

    I’ve had recent problems with ITV4 and Film4 going black with no sound – very occasional flashes of picture and sound. Film4 resolved shortly after I noticed it. ITV4 was after 9pm. ITV4 has been misbehaving the last few days. Seems like the Humax update a few months ago to fix this problem didn’t work. Complicated by D3&4 fixing it their end while the update was beta tested.

    I had recorded Unstoppable on ITV4 at 9pm on Wednesday night. When I came to watch it last night the recording wouldn’t play, just a blank screen and no audio. No amount of fiddling would get it to play ball. Thumbnails could be seen along the timeline. I had no choice but to delete the film. I have just checked the signal strength on ITV4 and get 94% strength with 100% quality. My Freeview app is on the latest version.

    There is an unresolved fault with either the multiplex ITV4 is on (D3&4 aka PSB2) or the Aura. Over recent days ITV4 has been misbehaving for me certainly between 5pm and 8pm (not sure of exact times) on a daily basis. Quite often another channel, usually ITV Quiz, is playing up during this time. As far as I know the problem is only occurring on the Aura and not on any other equipment (including other Humax models). There is currently absolutely nothing we the users can do about it other than lodge a complaint with Humax and/or ITV. There are rumours that an update to the software is due but we do not know if that will address this problem.

    It is possible your “failed” recording might have been playable if you installed the VLC app and played it using that player. Locating your recording can be complicated.

    I do have VLC on my Aura. I use it for playing films and other video I have downloaded to the Aura using FileZilla. Stupidly, I had completely forgotten about that option!
