InactiveHi Installed my Brand new HDR-1010S this week, On demand and Showcase worked ok. Updated firmware now I have no On Demand or Showcase. Not happy lot of money spent on a box that is not fully functional. Surly Humax must have tested the firmware before they released it.

ModeratorWith apologises for repeating posts that have already suggested this.
The current advice is:
1. Try a reboot.
2. Via settings, network connection, with connect automatically highlighted, press OK to renegotiate network connection.

I tried that with both wired and wireless connections, rebooting after each reconfiguration.

Thank you.
Anyone else who has recently reported problems care to check if on demand / showcase is now working please.
This is my first post having joined a few minutes ago.
I too bought an HDR 1000S last week. As with previous contributors I have not had the chance to experience On Demand. I have retried following the message from Barry but still no joy. The only difference that I notice is that the “Humax” option now works – I managed to view Wikipedia via this. Still no “On Demand”

InactiveHi All, another googler trying to resolve a problem

I purchased a HDR-1000S last week and had the same experience last night with no on-demand/showcase ect.
Pretty much identical symptoms, so I’ll watch and wait !

OK,
Have done a factory reset no differance. I can access BBC Iplayer and ITV player via direct channel numbers 901 903
Can you confirm that your problem is as follows:
901 functions correctly.
Trying to select on-demand or Showcase from home menu results in a “currently not available” message.
New or nearly new unit.

InactiveHi
I’m having exactly the same problem.
New 1010S unit purchased yesterday. Connected to internet (can access and watch iPlayer via channel 901) but cannot see On Demand or Showcase from the Home menu (I get the not available message).
I contacted Humax support and got the following reply:
Quote:Thank you for contacting Humax Technical Support. I’m sorry that you are having issues with your Humax Box.This is a known issue that has been affecting HDR1000s, HDR1010s and HB1000s users. It appears that the Freetime boxes can forget they are connected to the Internet and therefore will say that internet based services (on-demand, showcase, backwards guide) are not available. The main service effected is on-demand. For some users this has been resolved just by using the box or by going to settings, network connections and re-establishing a connection. In some cases a box reboot has been required.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue for you, we are aware of the issue and working on it. We hope to have it resolved soon. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
Best Regards…
None of the suggestions work – still having issues. One of the reasons I purchased this box was the On Demand channels, so not happy.
