    I wonder if they have worked out a protocol for the next time the owner of the two by four is away on holiday?

    Mmmm just tuned into ITV(103) and a red button icon appeared with live cycling next to it.

    I pressed the red button and a Loading itv 1 HD pop up appeared.

    I’ve never noticed this pop up before, anyone else?

    It’s the original Freesat exclusive data channel transmitted from the Freesat home transponder. You will be able to get it on 977 as well.

    I had forgotten that this access to ITV HD still works (or it did last time I tried a while ago). Could be a way for Scottish Postcode users to still watch ITV HD via channel 977.

    Scottish postcode users would still not get ITV player which is probably more likely to be the reason for using a false postcode.

    hi all

    My itv (103) doesn’t ask if i want to switch to itv hd (119) by press OK or even by pressing one of the coloured buttons on the remote I’ve done a rescan with my post code TF9 1DL but still not working is there a quick fix for this ?

    Only ones that can fix this issue is ITV themselves as they’re the ones who should be providing the info that tells the box that it’s available.

    This is exactly the same reason as to why you never have the option on Ch4 either because they(Ch4) don’t provide the info.

    I’ve just had ITV Viewer Services give me a call regarding a couple of questions I had.

    1: With regards to the SD>HD prompts on 103, they say they are sending out that information and their Humax box in the office (didn’t say which one) is working fine and showing the SD>HD info and promt.

    They suggest taking this up with the <free time> manufacturer for them to look into why this is no longer being shown.

    2: The second question was regarding the more info/set recording/set reminder prompt during trails for future program’s as is seen on BBC channels. (Or even Green button as he kept saying)

    Well the answer was that this will not be possible due to the different regional variations as if there was a prompt it will probably record the wrong regional channel.

    To be honest it sounds like codswallop to me, but then I’m no expert in such things.

    Well last night is sent a long email to itv explaining the situation and another long email to channel 4 about the SD > HD prompt when pressing 103 & 101,102 so people could get the most out of the HD channels and I think it would be a good idea if CH 4 did the same

    So let’s keep our fingers crossed

    It’s my understanding that ITV are working hard to reinstate the prompts for their channels ITV and ITV HD. Unfortunately, I do not have any time scales for you.

    It would be great to see similar prompts on Channel 4 and their HD channel, but this would ultimately be a decision for them.

    Hi all

    ITV rang me today in response to my email I sent about the recent frequency change and about the HD prompt when turning on to channel 103 and there response was that the HD prompt is not a big problem and they would like all costumes start to remember channel 119. In reply I said that it was a great feature and it worked fine before all the changes so can’t they just fix the problem and make easier to watch ITV HD
