InactiveYou really should be talking to Customer Services. Perhaps they have a fix on the way.
Just talk to them.

InactiveJust received this email, hopefully it’ll be sorted this week.
“Hi Steve
Thank you for contacting Humax.
We are aware of the issues with the channels you mentioned. All Aura 4k recorders are currently affected.
There should be an update applied on your device this week to resolve the issue.
This will be done automatically on your device.
The channels should go back to normal after this.
Best Regards,
Ivan
Humax Customer “

InactiveIs there anyone else apart from bella2 that can claim only ITV2 (ch6) was first affected by the issue ? From what I read here and what Humax are saying it is the multiple channels on D3&4 mux that everyone else including myself are having problems with from the start.

InactiveIt started happening to me recently on Mendip.
I particularly notice it when I have two multiplexes recording and I try to watch a third multiplex live – the live programme stutters and gives black screens. A power OFF/ON and a manual retune did not fix it so I am pleased to see it looks like a bug which Humax are fixing. I initially thought one tuner was faulty. I have seen it happen on several programmess including ITV2, More4 and Film 4.
It is strange it has suddenly started to happen now after all this time suggesting the broadcaster has changed something which is still within the Freeview Techinical Specification after the change, but which Humax didn’t allow for.
NB I haven’t read every post in the thread …

That figures for me as the D3&4 mux includes ITV 1, C4, C5, ITV2, ITV3, E4, Film4 and More4

InactiveThe issues with the Channel 4 Channels began for me on 16.3, + ceased yesterday 25.3. Although Advertisement breaks were never an issue.
Does anyone know if this cessation is permanent?

I can’t find evidence of an update – however, last night and this morning all the problems with D3&4 channels appear to have gone. Having said that, I didn’t notice the start of the problems until after others had spotted them. Has the cause been corrected at the source (D3&4) or has my Aura been silently updated with an undetectable update?

Was just going to post the same. I did get a very brief notification on screen about an update yesterday but it was gone before had time to read it. Could easily have missed it completely had I been blinking or looking away from screen for a second. All channels now seem to be working again after this update dated 20 March 2025.

I’m sure I looked last night after spotting things working and saw a 2024 date. I thought it was both Freeview and Freeview Live apps. Either I’m going number blind or confusing the various apps – or perhaps a senior moment.
Just checked – and the Freeview app (not the Freeview Live app) has updated.

InactiveHi all, new user here. I had e-mailed HUMAX and told them I rejected my product and wanted my money back before I was aware of this site. In the e-mail I had given them my box details. The very next day I got this e-mail, no mention of my complaint
Dear Aura User,
We’re reaching out to inform you that a new app update has been rolled out to all Aura devices across the UK, including yours!
To ensure that the update is applied smoothly, please follow the steps below:
Put the device into standby mode, wait until the HDD stops working, then unplug the power supply.
After waiting for 5-10 minutes, plug the device back in.
Turn on the box and watch live TV for 1 minute.
Place the box back into standby mode for 1 minute.
Turn it on again and watch live TV for 5 minutes.
Finally, put the box into standby mode for 2 minutes.
To confirm the update, you can check the version number by navigating to:
Settings > Apps > See all apps > Show system apps > Freeview,
The updated version should display as 1.00_67_250320_ec44a7d27.
(Note: Please ensure you’re checking the right app and not confusing it with the Freeview Live TV app!)
If after confirming the update and correct Freeview app version, you are still experiencing issues, please feel free to reply to this email or contact our support team using your HMX email reference number for assistance.
Thank you for your continued support and patience!
It has worked, I used it last night and checked it this morning.

InactiveAll OK here as well.
I’m sure I could see the latest software version and date under settings before, but I cannot find any information now.
