InactiveMy system has hung up three times now in the last two weeks. Each time it has recovered by killing the mains power for a couple of minutes and then powering everything back up again and working ok. I’ve got a Logitech Harmony remote to control everything but when it hangs only power off works. Restarting without power cycling brings back the TV and the Bose solo sound box but not the Humax box. Really strange, hope Freesat are working on this.

InactiveAfter a rant about my box which has the latest updates, and new batteries in the remote, have finally fixed it (although it may not help others).
It just seemed a tad strange that another four people in my area had exactly the same problem at roughly the same time.
We all reset our boxes back to the factory settings, and after a couple of days, all is now ok.

InactiveHi guys,
Can you tell me, if you do a factory reset, does that also delete all recordings or just the future programme timings? I really don’t want to delete my recordings, I have a lots of shows to watch

I also had a few problems with my Humax but they seem to be fixed, for now.
I just wanted to know about the factory reset for any future problems.

ModeratorFactory reset does not delete recordings.
It does delete future timers and any other user settings you may have adjusted.

InactiveThanks Barry. I thought that was the case.

InactiveHola.
How can Humax keep selling this box knowing about this problem. I have just bought one in England and brought it over to Spain. It worked for about 2 hours. Then the Mobile would not change channels. It seems to do this if you stay on a channel to long. Am I going to have to unplug it, every time this happens? For as long as I continue to use it. Or is there some way of overcoming this problem. I to use a Sat Dish.

InactiveMine too, locked up at about 19:30 GMT. Got working again by switching off and on exactly as before. Hope it’s a one-off but not confident!

InactiveMine has started again as of today.
It fixed itself the last time, It still hasn’t been connected to the Internet.
It’s really annoying and needs sorted once and for all.

InactiveMe Too, My box started locking up again 2 days ago.Once again the only remedy seems to be to pull the power and switch on again 20 secs later. We never received a definitive answer to why this was happening before. Can anyone give Humax Towers a nudge and push for an answer and a remedy.Last time they appeared to be saying that it was a Freesat problem but I don’t think so as I also run another freesat box which has never been affected

InactiveHi just joined this forum. Have been having the same problem for a couple of weeks now. HDR 1010s only a few months old. When problem present, only off, volume and mute work from remote, and once off pressed, cannot switch back on via remote.Have changed remote batteries, but remote works perfectly after on/off at mains performed. sw is UKSFAA 1.08 dated 4 Nov 2014. Was about to complain to Currys but will await outcome of this thread

InactiveI’ve had this problem a few times lately too, usually the box just locks up while I’m watching but last night it locked up after I paused a recording. When I switched it off with the remote it came back on with an almost black screen apart from the paused programme time in the bottom left.
Had to pull the plug to get it working again.
No internet connected. Old box 1000s

InactiveMy box has started doing this again starting last night.
As it seems only Humax have this trouble I will be returning my box and staying clear of Humax products.

InactiveAhhhhh, and us again. Started last night with having no response from the Humax box in changing stations with the remote.
Trying to change stations manually on the box itself is also frozen. Identical problems of a few weeks ago.
Please administrator can you notify Humax again , your action last time prompted an update to fix the problem by them after that it was no problem.
We certainly won’t ever by Humax again. They will have lost many future sales by this shabby performance.
