InactiveRe booting update on my machine: Since I deleted the pairing app there has been no re booting!! I don’t know if that was the problem. I’m not techie enough to understand how this app would make any difference. I will wait for an explanation from someone more knowledgeable 😆

InactiveNot sure if this is in the right thread so please for give me.
Girlfriends HDR 1000s has now twice deleted all recordings and all planned recordings. Last time was around November last year. Then yesterday, came in and all deleted again. It also showed this error ‘The hard disk drive has not been formatted properly. To record programmes, press OK to go to the storage menu and format the hard disk drive’
System update done to see if that would help (just in case!) but it still showed the same error. Switched it off and left it unplugged for over 1/2 an hour. Turned on, factory reset and tried to format the HDD but this will not happen.
Came in tonight and box was off. We have done the same again, powered off for an hour (completely unplugged), factory reset to no avail.
Going to try again but not hopeful.
It has also been rebooting for over 6 months now, nice and randomly.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Jim

InactiveYou can add me to the list… since the update my box has rebooted by itself twice in the middle of programmes, which has also resulted in recordings being cut short.
Also on coming out of standby today, the box got to half booting up then turned itself off cancelling a recording which was taking place at the time!!
Cheers
John

InactiveWe had a problem with our HUMAX box (HDR-1000S/GB/500G) rebooting every two to five minuets. After attempting the usual factory reboot etc to no avail the problem turned out to be a power drain from our Netgear Wifi adapter. Once removed the HUMAX box operated normally with the exception of online services. A reset and reconfiguration of the adapter and all was well. No idea what brought on the Netgear adapter hissyfit – its been in use with the HUMAX box for well over a year without any problems.
Hope this is of help to someone.
Best Regards
CB

InactiveI also have Edimax dongle issue which I know is working because I have checked it with my Laptop.
Shocked Humax don’t pay more attention to updates.

InactiveRandom reboots hitting our machine now too. Total pain.

InactiveUpdate: Humax recommended that I perform a factory reset, which I did, but made no difference. Interesting that someone else was asked to unlink their Freesat ID.

InactiveI’ve not had any reboots but since the update I have lost wifi connectivity and the option to set up a wifi connection, which was working perfectly before the update. I have tried a factory reset and was not having any problems before the update, is it possible to roll the software back ?

InactiveAfter doing a reset is anybody re-entering their custom settings for auto-power off etc?
I too would like to know if it’s possible to roll back the firmware but I don’t think there is an option to stop the box from updating automatically.

InactiveI’ve just been on the phone to their help and it seems that the update may have wiped out the driver for my Edimax dongle which has been working fine for over a year now. I left my email and phone number and they are going to get back to me. He wanted to talk me through a factory reset which I have already done and lost all my recording settings, it is just not detecting WiFi at all. Is there anywhere to download the new software and load it from a USB key ? I’ve tried their website but it just has a dead link.

InactiveHaving only just bought a HDR1010S 2 weeks ago after 8 years with the ‘other’ satellite provider, this is disappointing to suddenly have this issue of re-booting every 30 mins or so.
It is great to know that this forum exists as I too was about to return the box at the weekend as I was starting to think that it was a hardware fault. I was not even aware of the update until I ‘web searched’ for the problem and found this. I too have installed the Freesat app and had paired to the box prior to the update. This has now been uninstalled and will reset the box when I return from work later.
Will keep you informed of progress later.

InactiveSeems I was optimistic in my earlier post #13. Yesterday I was experiencing regular spontaneous reboots, did a factory default reset and so far it’s been OK.

Inactive3 boxes, 2 wifi 1 wired, Tenda W311U+ wifi adaptor still working fine. Icons gone from above display, reboots only noticed on one of the boxes (so far!) showcase wasn’t working but is now! All boxes got app ID’s attached.
