InactiveBarry, still no joy, followed your instructions some of the channel logos came back but not all and more importantly still getting the same message with ondemand and showcase. Any other suggestions?

InactiveIf I factory reset as suggested then I take it I would loose all of my recordings and schedules ? if so then I would rather not use showcase or on demand.

You will not lose your recordings. only your recording schedule. If you have some sort of digital camera then photograph the schedule first.

Basically leave unit on and wait, see if they finally work is all I can suggest, especially as you have seen some improvement in EPG logos.

InactiveSince unplugging the network, all has been well but defeats the purpose of having all that catchup and no way of enjoying it.

InactiveUnfortunately the problems still persist which is a shame because everything was working fine before September’s update

InactiveHi. I’ve got an HDR-1000s connected to the router through ethernet. I can get iplayer and itvplayer through channels 901 and 903 respectively as well as showtime. However, like others I’m unable to get On Demand.
The firmware version is UKSFAA 2.02.07 and was updated on 4 Nov. I can’t say if the On Demand service stopped at the same time as I’m sure the kids managed to use it a couple of weeks ago. But if this firmware upgrade is the culprit? Is it possible to downgrade to a previous version?

I’ve wished for that many times and even requested it on the now discontinued official Freesat forum. It does not exist.

Presumably they’d first have to stop the automatic updating, and allow the user to choose whether or not to update. Otherwise, the box would just re-update itself.
If updating was user-controllable, I for one would probably wait and see what bugs emerged, before updating. If enough users chose to wait and see, it might become quite difficult to make progress with overall improvement.
IMO, it would be better if Humax would set up a trial group for pre-release testing of updates.

I’ve got a whole range of devices that are updated OTA or Internet, Windows PC for example, and all are set to manual update, except the 1000S where it is not possible. Never experienced a problem, again except the 1000S where it’s been one long story of problems.

InactiveI’ve had a Windows PC since around 1992 (when I worked on the first manufacture of said machine) and I have to say that through a career of using it on major international projects it has never really given me any problems. In contrast to the 1000S which has been a testimony to the completely misplaced belief of Freesat that they knew how to design a PVR. How Humax ever got into bed with this crowd of dilettantes is beyond my understanding.
