Your signal to the current frequency of the freesat transponder is poor (due to move shortly). Do you have a friends to you set the unit up at?

InactiveI’ve never bought anything that the manufacturer is able to muck up at will before, so glad I’m on this forum otherwise I would have been taking it back to the shop!
I have done a factory reset, as last night’s recordings were only part recorded. However this hasn’t restored the icons that used to appear on the front of the box above the channel information.
Is there any way of opting out of such ‘updates’? Not all of us are tech savvy and find these things easy to fix when they go wrong. Sorry to sound grumpy but I’m sure you understand my frustration. And this forum is great by the way – keep up the good work!
Rant over..

ParticipantThough not experiencing the shut down/reboots. My HDR1000S icons are also missing. TBH until someone mentioned they were missing I hadn’t noticed. They are so small and dim you can only see them very close to the box.

InactiveFor me a factory reset is the very last thing I would want to as the Humax is setup as I like it and many programs are set to record. Anyhow I powered the box down at the socket for ten seconds last evening and it appears to be stable since then.
My icons are also missing from the front dusplay, however that’s no big problem as I never look at them

InactiveI’m having problems with Edimax EW-7711USN wifi dongle (Ralink 3070 chipset) not being recognised working up to the software update on the 15th June. Working since bought June 2013.
Tested on Windows 7 laptop, with on board wifi disabled, OK.

InactiveIcons gone on mine too. Not that I took much notice of them. I tell you what they could have done with the display though – added an option to change from constant scroll to just scroll once. Drives me nuts when watching a recording and seeing the title jumping back and forth, I have to lean something against the display!

I totally agree. It was asked for back when Freesat had their own forum but it was unsurprisingly ignored. It really is the most pointless feature.
