InactiveNice update, really happy that the Aura will now detect and switch its output to the correct native frame rate for the source. I am hoping that a future update will allow output at the correct native resolution. Audio functionality also seems to be much improved, although it still doesn’t correctly pass through any of the advanced audio formats.
Some quick testing using my AVR to confirm the output properties show the Aura correctly detecting and sending 24/25/50/60Hz video content from live TV and recordings, as well as streamed from iPlayer and played locally from Plex. Everything is still upscaled to 4K though.
On the audio side it is now correctly sending stereo and 5.1 as multichannel, but nothing above that. DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, Atmos, and DTS:X are all sent as 5.1 multichannel rather than correctly passed through untouched to the amp.

Do you have an account at http://www.myhumax.net I think that you need one before you can use the app.

Thank you for the screen shots. I must say I am impressed with the app. I just need to check to see if the bug when I set a recording to record the series that it shows in the EPG as it seems a bit ad hoc as to whether the R logo shows or not and I have to check the schedule each time which is a little annoying.
The bug is still there, at least for my recording shedule.
But overal pleased with the update.
Thinking about it I though last night I did a deep power off, today the boot up took awhile and asked me to log in to my Google account. So, different to a reset, could this have have a bearing on the bug?

InactiveThe recent Aura update has fixed a number of bugs for me except that there is still an issue with the Aura EPG not displaying all my scheduled recordings by not showing a letter R in all cases but bizarrely they do show correctly on the android aura app
It must be stressed that the recording schedule does display all my future recordings and all recordings take place as expected but just not displaying them all in the EPG.
It would be nice in the future if the android Aura app would display in landscape orientation as well as portrait and having the ability to only display favourite channels. I believe the IOS app maybe forthcoming soon according to reports on this forum.

You can only have one registered device at Humax.net and it has to be a Aura.

InactiveIf the TV is Android based there is no harm in trying, if you can find the apk to sideload it. You will most likely find that you need an “air mouse” (if your TV doesn’t come with one) to use the app because I too suspect that it is designed for touchscreen only.

The app relies on a Humax server at Humax.net. Surely you don’t expect it to support thousands of other Android devices. You can use multiple mobile devices to access one aura (maybe more).
I have the aura app on a mobile phone and a tablet. The tablet of course has larger live TV pictures and replay of recordings. The phone can slip in a pocket so can be used more conveniently. I can’t see how using it on a TV is going to do anything.
You can’t carry that around with you and assuming you have an aura using the box HDMI out does more than the app anyway.

InactiveI would hazard a guess that the question was asked because Maximus is hoping to utilise the capability of watching recordings on the Aura via another Android device. The portability of the TV is irrelevant.
