Bargain Hunt set on Foxsat-HDR failed to record yesterday – reason unknown.

Must be something wrong with the crids

I have deleted it and set a new series from tomorrow. Checking schedule events only scheduled for Tues 5th and Thursday 7th Jan

Checking same reservation on HDR-1000S

Looks to be working OK on 1000S

Not working properly on FVP-5000T. Recorded yesterday next scheduled recording is Thursday.

Bargain Hunt not flagged on epg today and schedule only shows Friday 8th Jan and Monday 11th Jan

Looking as if it will not record today.

My aura Schedule shows

Tue 5th, Wed 6th, Thu 7th, Sat 9th, Sun 10th, Tue 12th

so it is missing the two days that yours is showing.

It’s very strange. Looks to be random, I wonder if it’s transmitter related.

That seems to be the only difference.

Eastenders was rescheduled, and broadcast 30 mins later.

Does that mean the Aura couldn’t cope with the delayed broadcast due to the PM’s briefing? My Foxsat HDR waits several hours before it decides the programme is not going to happen and then flags a ‘failed recording’ error.

My 4000 got very confused with Eastenders last night, so I don’t think that problem was exclusive to the Aura. I have never found it very successful with reschedules.

Although I had EE set for its scheduled time, the 4000 decided to record the Gov. broadcast, but called it EE and then deleted the original EE timer! I set EE again, but it didn’t show in the schedule, so I waited a few minutes, deleted it via the guide then tried again and it successfully set and recorded.

My HDR-FOX T2 recorded the rescheduled EastEnders without problem. I agree with your observation that the FVP-4000/5000T are not very good at coping with late schedule changes. It is a shame that later boxes perform worse than their predecessors.
