InactiveReally sorry to lean on so much on your generous support but I’m afraid I don’t understand these instructions. Brain’s not what it used to be!

Choose a programme on BBC 1-HD and set a recording from the epg choosing just to record the one event. Choose a second from BBC 1ScH HD that overlaps as before put box in sby 30 mins before first recording due to start. Check and report what happens. Repeat but this time set two pairs of recording one from each of the above setting the previous programme so you have back to back recordings on each channel. Report what happens. Trying to check that accurate recording works as expected.

InactiveOK, I’ll do that test later, when I have time, meanwhile here’s what happened last night in case it helps.
Scheduled BBC2 HD 8-9pm and 9-9.55, and BBC4 HD 9-10.
The 8-9 recording, from standby, was successful. But both of those starting at 9 failed, until I switched on, when they both started, then they both completed successfully.

ParticipantThe BBC-2 HD recording 8-9pm and -9-955 would have been allocated to tuner 1 as consecutive recordings are always allocated to 1 tuner, had the first programme overun it would have continued recording till the broadcaster signals the end of the first and then started the second. (chopping off the beginning of the second.. Can’t see any reason why tuner 2 didn’t pick up the BBC4- HD programme at 9pm. Pity you didn’t post beforehand as without being able to replicate means there’s no evidence to speak to a broadcaster.

InactiveI’ve setup to record The One Show at 7pm on both BBC1 HD and BBC1Scot HD. I’ll edit in the result below.
OK, recording failed to start, both channels, until I switched on at 7:07. I’ll now setup follow-on recordings.

InactiveNot sure if you’ll have seen my edit, both failed until I switched on.
I’ve now setup back-to-back on both channels, will see results after 8pm.

I didn’t see your post till 6:55 so after setting both box was in prerecording sby. Both did however start while in sby and box remains in recording sby (clock displayed). It should go back to full sby after two recordings complete.
AFter this I will set Eat Well for less and Press On both channels. This should start from full sby as there’s a full 30 mins before next due to start.
Edit – What Software Version is installed ?

InactiveI scheduled 7.30-8 and 8-9 both channels. But if recording fails again at 7.30 should I switch on to make it start, in order to test the back-to-back functionality? I can of course also do 9-10 to match you.
It’s now 7:38, no recording, so I’ll switch on then off again to get it going.
Done, now recording in standby.

InactiveNot sure why you ask, this is just same pattern as before, scheduled recording fails until I switch on, so I did that to get the back-to-back function tested. Can’t quote version off-hand but sure it’s the latest.

InactiveAt 20:04 in high power standby but not recording, which I guess stopped at the end of the relevant programmes.
