InactiveI had this issue after initial purchase of FVP5000T a few weeks ago. At some point I changed the video output to 720p (for other reasons) – after that the ITV hub sign in worked (using the code method via an iPhone). I have no idea why this should be and possibly coincidental. It would be interesting to see whether others with this problem might try this ‘resolution’. All other suggested remedies (clear cookies, power off etc were unsuccessful).

InactiveI am another new 5000T user unable to sign in to ITV hub. Tried clearing cookies, and changing to video 720p. No success. Otherwise very happy with new purchase, so will wait for a while.

InactiveThe Cookie clearing solution above worked fine for me – made sure to press + and did a power recycle by pulling mains lead out. Went straight to ITV Hub and was presented with the code to log in using my iPad. Then the Human started working on the ITV Hub. Given that Humax and ITV are conspicuously silent, I’m surprised they haven’t endorsed this as a functional workaround – though it shouldn’t really be necessary if they would simply provide a firmware update.

InactiveThanks. Unfortunately that’s still not working for me. Perhaps I’m not going through the process correctly, but I have definitely deleted cookies (confirmed by system) and have turned power completely off and on afterwards. Is it worth me trying in another order?

InactiveI originally started this thread back in October.
Last time I posted back in December I had taken the 5000T box back to John Lewis for a full refund. Last week I decided to purchase another one from John Lewis as it was now £30 cheaper than when originally bought.
Connected it all up and hey presto the ‘WHOOPS’ screen appeared when trying to access the ITV HUB. Pretty annoyed, but at least I had saved £30.
Continued to try over the last week and today would you believe it, the code appeared on the TV screen and I successfully logged in.
Don’t know if Humax or ITV have applied a fix or whether I just got lucky, but for now it’s finally working.

InactiveHonestly, the way this is looking to me is that it’s totally random blind luck. Just keep trying over and over.

InactiveThanks Simcom for starting the thread – I know at least I am not alone! Unfortunately still not working for me.

InactiveYes, you must be right – amazingly, it worked yesterday, having failed to enable log in for many weeks since purchase. Hooray!

InactiveReceived the following email from ITV Hub today.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Our records confirm that you recently contacted us in relation to the ITV Hub on your Humax Device.
Here at ITV, we are aware that some Humax models are coming up with a ‘Whoops’ error message when trying to sign in to the ITV Hub. I am pleased to inform you that our technical team and Humax have been working together and this issue is now resolved on Freeview Play models.
You will now be able to sign into your ITV Hub account and watch as normal. However, if you experience any issues please get back to us.
If you are viewing via a Humax Freesat device and are still unable to sign in, we have not forgotten you, our Technical Team and Humax are still working on this and we hope to get this resolved in the near future.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards,
ITV Viewer Support

InactiveSame problem for me, still getting the ‘Whoops’ reply. However, it was working perfect 2 days ago and then I had to reset my wifi to fix a printer issue, it seems to have corresponded with that …. no problems getting BBC channels though, just ITV.
Can log on to ITV hub on my MacBook so it must be Humax and ITV
Dd anyone get a fix for this?

InactiveIncredible ….. so I have just done the same thing, open up ‘On Demand’ go to ITV Hub, this time, firstly I browsed not trying to login and then selected a programme to watch, this then asked me to sign in but this time it opened up a page with a passcode so that you can pair your sign on from a. lap top. It worked, Im now able to view ITV Hub.

InactiveThis is why you’re better off with something like Chromecast than these so called smart DVRs smart TVs.
