Actually, I’m not sure how to manually set the DNS Server in the Humax Box, doesn’t seem to be any custom settings for it from what I can see. Is there a hidden menu or am I being a little sight challenged today ?
If you want to you have to deprive it of a DHCP server. Turn it off on your router for a few mins.

InactiveIt has stopped working again for me.
Now I can get Showcase but not On Demand, but still have 901 & 903.
Factory reset + 1 hour wait etc. did not resolve it.
It seems to lose the connection details again.
I guess Freesat are fiddling around.

InactiveA visit to network settings and a reconnect just restored it for me.

InactiveI see a thumbnail has been added, in the rollback EPG, to give access to ITV player home screen without having to select a programme in the EPG. Also for 4oD

InactiveIt seems to lose the connection details again – If I go into network settings, it thinks it is not connected so asks me to choose connect automatically, which I do, and it shows the correct ip address and says ‘connected’. If I then exit and go straight back in again, it thinks it is unconnected again.

InactiveHi, I’m having the same problem with my Humax 1010S with Freesat I’m connected to the internet, but On Demand says not available, I can get the various players, by using the guide to go back and then OK to select Iplayer etc.
I can also use my Ipod to access Youtube by pairing.
I have tried , soft rebooting the Humax box, the router, the TV and also done several factory resets on the Humax box, but still no On Demand. I can use showcase.
Was very happy with this Humax Box, hope it can be sorted soon, as I think it must be the Freesat platform causing the problem and maybe not the Humax box?

Inactiverushycd – Try going into Network Settings and choose Connect Automatically. This worked (for now) for some of us.

InactiveWas Working , Is Working, Not working. Ha ha ha, this is so entertaining , at least it would be if it wasn’t so very, very irritating.
This was never an issue before that software release, so perhaps they should push out the previous release and give us working boxes once again until they are sure that they have fixed it.

InactiveJamesB thanks, i’ve tried that a few times, On demand says not available, or I need to connect to the internet, but when I go into settings, I am already connected.
I’ve soft botted several times and done a factory default reset twice.
I’ve emailed Humax, so hope to hear something in the week
Cheers

You would be better off telling freesat, who specify how freetime units should work and control some of the infrastructure which provides it.

InactiveUpdate:
Now I can see the on demand selection of players but when I select one like BBC I Player, clicking select does not call it up.
I think we need to just wait and see what they come up with, they are obviously in a state of flux right now trying to resolve it, lets hope they manage it before too long.
