InactiveBlimey. I was thinking about replacing my T2000 which is getting a tad glitchy with an Aura but 50 pages of gripes, snags and teething issues makes me think better the devil I know. No way will I be shelling out £250 until for this beta unit – I’ll wait until it, y’know, actually works okay. Last thing I want is rest of family constantly screaming “Dad! The box has gone weird again!!!” all hours of the day.

We have 2 of them in our wider family and I set them both up. Since 10th November when we took delivery, there have been no problems, and they are heavily used.

It is the Humax aura, FVP-4KGTR. Version 9. Kernel version with a date of sep 27 and a build of PTT1.190528.001
When I check for updates it says it is up to date.
thanks
What do you have for Application Version, and Update Date under
FVP > Settings > Freeview Play Preference >System Information

How do you set individual times though.. On mine you can only set the skip/replay time to the same figure. No option to assign different times to each of them?
If you have the latest software
Application Version 1.00_25_201029_0a7a47a
Update Date Oct 29,2020 11:06:43 am
Look under FVP > Settings > Record & Share
You should find Instant Replay Time, and Skip Forward Time
Both can be set independently, to a choice of 7, 15, 30, 60, 120, 240 seconds

InactiveLooks like I don’t have most recent update however when I click check for update it says ‘your system is up to date. How annoying. What else am I missing out on ha. Anyone know how to either download and install the update or why my box will not download it. I have restarted it etc and tried again but still says up to date despite being 27 Sep

To ask the obvious question, you are connected to the internet?

InactiveI have exactly the same builds and s/w versions, am definitely connected to the Internet, and also am met by the statement that my box is up to date.

InactiveIn the flip side, I haven’t experienced any of the issues others have noted. My only issues are audio sync when playing 4k movies from file, the odd stuck on black screen and a strange one where Freeview pic displayed as less than a quarter of the screen and the rest of screen black (like the resolution was set at 720p l) but this was rectified by restarting the box.

Resident HDMI handshake or box video problem. I keep getting black screens every now and again and frozen video but audio still playing. Have to soft power cycle box to recover.
