InactiveGlad to see some of us are getting on demand back. Unfortunately it’s not working for me yet. It just says on demand is loading, It has been loading for three days. Tried all of the above info and no luck so far?

InactiveHi, I’m still waiting for it to load? Can anybody help. Have tried multiple times, turning off and unplugging to no avail.

InactiveI’ve just checked, and mine is still working. I can only suggest a reset to factory defaults, this has worked for me when I added a second satellite feed which the box couldn’t see. You’ll lose any scheduled recording and favorites sadly, existing recordings will be fine.

InactiveCheck your router lan page for a list of connected devices, you should see your box.
Ping the box IP.
If all that is OK, reset to factory default. You’ll be asked for a PIN. 0000 by default unless you set some thing else. There is a way to reset it with some button combos on the remote. I forget those now but could look it up.
Reset will wipe out your catch up credentials so you’ll have to re-register

InactiveHi everyone, I have a Humax HB1100s and have had no iplayer for some time now.
I have read most of the recent threads regarding this issue, most of which seem to have been merged onto this thread.
I have unplugges my box, I have Factory Reset it, I have waited for the said update to take effect and nothing has changed.
I cannot access the iplayer through the On Demand section or with the red button.
Can anyone help or is this box just too old and in need of replacement ?
Many thanks

InactiveHi,
I have a similar problem, on demand or showcase says its not currently available.
I have factory reset the box, rebooted the router and box but it doesnt work.
I have 22 May 2022 firmware version, it I try to update it says “new software is not detected”.
Does that mean its already the latest version? or its not finding anything?.
if I go to manual update it says frequency 11426, Horizontal, Symbol 27500, DVB, FEC 2/3, is this correct? or I need to use a different transponder to udate the firmware?
If the firmware is already up to date what could the problem be?
Thanks

InactiveRegarding these last 2 posts, do you have a good internet connection? I wonder if the update installs from there or the satellite feed or both? I can’t tell how mine updated but it did fix it. Either way, downloads can get corrupted, so maybe forcing a new update might work.

InactiveHi – yes I certainly have good connection and speed – we have fibre to the premises.
When I look at the software page on the box it says it is up to date – that’s not to say it actually is ! I wouldn’t really know how to “force” an update !
Thanks for your help

Inactive@woodbutcher. Thx. I reinstalled the firmware again and it now works perfectly.
@Selector. Perhaps you could try the same and it may solve your problem too.
See.. https://uk.humaxdigital.com/support/?product_id=857&curr_page=sw_release
Good luck.

I’ll give that a go tomorrow – did you do it with a memory stick as they suggest ? I’ll have to find one !!
November 3, 2024 at 10:53 pm #114466Anonymous
InactiveYes with a memory stick. It maybe a good idea to make a note of your planned recordings as they might get wiped during the firmware update, as I didn’t have any I don’t know if it does. It won’t delete the recordings.

InactiveI’ve just installed the firmware from a usb stick, as I’m trying to fix another problem where the box loses the hard drive. The process was very painless, and my planned recordings and existing recordings were unaffected. On demand is still working fine, iPlayer, My5 and YouTube all working ok. I might start another thread about the hard drive troubles though, grrrr.

InactiveWell that all sounds very promising – first idiot question of the day though !! How do I get the HDF file to open ? My computer doesn’t seem to recognise the file …. do I need to download a specific reader ? Many thanks

InactiveYou don’t need to open the hdf file, Just copy it to the usb stick ( not inside a folder)
