No it was in standby.
OK in that case I have no idea why it didn’t update.
Anyway as I said, I did an automatic search about 9am this morning and it downloaded and updated fine. Hopefully the version with the custom firmware should be available in the next day or so.
Did the time to download the update match Barry’s 32 minutes?

Yes, almost to the second, with the same hang at 91%. Interestingly I was prompted at the end to rescan as all the channels had been deleted and I now see that my local TV broadcaster, (Brighton), is pumping out test transmissions.

InactiveBarry do we know whether this is being extended to the HD only model or have they scrapped support on that.

Inactivehello
got the new sw update here…
Not sure if it’s connected or not but scrolling up and down through the TV guide is now very slow.
Scrolling up and down through the TV List or the recorded programme list are still ok – or anything other than the TV Guide.
using my Logitec remote and the original Humax remote both have the same issue, so its not the remote.
every thing else is ok… just the very slow scrolling in the TV Guide.
has any one else noticed this?
I have tried switching the box off with the switch on the back leaving for about 20sec and then on again… nothing changed.
is a factory reset my only hope?
not sure if it’s connected or not…
my HDR T2 never goes into stand by… but still got the OTA update sometime today/last night.

InactiveA factory reset corrected the same fault for me on a slightly earlier unofficial firmware.. But dead recording schedules also seem to have an impact. Delete those too if you have any and the speed should return.

Inactivehello Chris
I deleted all the dead schedules… there were 30+ (I lost count after 30!!!)
this helped a little bit but still not great so I then I did a factory reset which seemed to do the trick.
Thanks for your help with that.

I’ve just come here to report the exact same issue. I also uses a Logetech remote and have tried a reboot.
If I do a factory reset will a lose my recordings or anything else?

Your existing recordings will remain but the schedule of future recordings and any settings you have changed from the defaults will be lost.

ParticipantIt may be related to number of recordings, if so restoring them will slow the box down again. Cam you post if this happens or not ?

How many recordings do you have?
February 28, 2014 at 12:22 pm #50869Anonymous
InactiveHad 53, but only 21 with active shows.
I’ve added them and the guide seems okish. I’s certainly not slow like it was after the update, but I’m not sure if it’s as responsive as it used to be…

Can you open the guide on 101 and time how long it takes to get to the end of the data using only the right key. I will set extra recordings to get 21 and do the same.
