InactiveI am having the same problems. Channels 6,14,15,18,26,28,30 and 35
each one comes on for about a second or two then freezes.
Tried retuning but that didn’t make any difference.
I have a Manhattan T4 in another room on the same aerial and that doesn’t
have problems.

InactiveI think many of us are having the same issues with picture freezing, have you been able yet to report it too Customer Services, if so have they replied ?

InactiveFinally, the same problem has occurred on my Aura. Tried to watch More4 and picture stopped or went blank in the breaks. A recording made was unplayable by the usual method – although it appears the recording was ok as it is playable using VLC.

InactiveWould you mind letting us know their reply ?
It is not in my opinion an issue which is going to be resolved by a Reboot or faulty cables etc, but a problem which can only be resolved their end, perhaps a software update.

I doubt we will learn much more from Humax until an update is ready for beta testing or rolling out. From their replies already posted on this site we already know that they are aware of the issue, that they are trying to solve the issue and that there are no actions an Aura user can take to cure the issue themselves. It is just a waiting game now.

InactiveJust to add that I have the same problem, on the Belmont transmitter in Lincolnshire.
On Wednesday (12th March) I recorded The Man With The Golden Gun on ITV4. When I tried to watch it, it wouldn’t start, it kept playing the first few seconds over and over again. I found that if I set it into fast forward for a few minutes, it started. I thought it was a rogue recording, but the second half of the film (a second recording) did the same thing, again fast forwarding allowed it to play.
On Friday (14th March) I tried to watch Astrid, Murder in Paris on More4. The program (live) would play for one second with a burst of sound, then go black for 10 seconds or so then another burst of sound (sometimes with a picture) which kept repeating. I tried to watch the recording that was being made but no matter how I tried fast forwarding, I couldn’t get the recording to play.
I gave up and watched it directly on the TV.
Today (15th March) I tried to reset the Aura back to the factory settings and retuned. Having signed back in and reset all my series linked programmes, I still cannot watch More4.
Looking at the channel list I have from Freeview, More4 and ITV4 are on the D3&4 multiplex (Channel 25 from Belmont). I can get some of the channels within this multiplex, ITV1 (SD), Ch4 (SD), Ch5 (SD), ITV3, E4, Ch4+1 and That’s TV3 are all in this multiplex and seem to be working properly. Film4, More4, ITV4, ITVBe, E4+1 and ITV1+1 are not.
For the time being I’ve set all recordings on my Manhattan T2R PVR as it is working on More4, Film4 and the others, though it is More4 that I record most regularly on the D3&4 multiplex, now Astrid has finished Helsinki Crimes is back on…
Here’s hoping Humax manage to find a fix, and swiftly.

InactiveI am assuming that there was some change made somewhere to the MUX concerned somewhere in the transmission chain. If this means the broadcast data is now out of spec then the fault cannot be laid entirely at the door of Humax except to expect it to cope more robustly with malformed transmissions.
Just speculation on my part but not the first time such a thing would have happened.

InactiveAfter a lot of research, I found the D3&4 mux is owned by itv & BT, and to be honest, I put the fault at their door, they must have changed something. My aura worked for a week, and then I lost all the channels, or they stuttered, so I don’t think it’s Humax’s fault like you say.

I posted this a couple of days ago on the other site………..
The fact it was only affecting ad’s on More4 suggests an outside source rather than the Aura being the cause but there is no excuse for the Aura being so :poop: at coping with whatever is occurring when all other freeview devices are fine.

After a few seconds research:

If it is not the fault of Humax then why are other TVs and PVRs not affected? Why do these things always affect the Humax Aura?

Inactivel was thinking the same as my Manhattan is still working on those channels.
I think Humax must have a slightly different code for the D3&4 mux.
