I tried repair and worryingly got the message that an ‘error was detected while repairing bad sectors.’ Contact a WD technician for support.
I would be concerned that this indicates that the disk has exhausted its supply of spare sectors; in which case the best way forward is to change the disk.
I was worried that you might say that. Is this a simple thing to do, I wouldn’t really know where to start?
