Thank you Barry, page 1 of this thread for the reset of remote, 0 and OK.

This may not be help in this case, but I found some buttons were not working or needed to be pushed extra hard. The solution was going to be to buy a new remote or use a universal so I pulled the old one apart and found that under the rubber membrane with the buttons, there was a build up of some oily dirt. Wiping that clean got it working. I should mention that the device was long out of warranty otherwise I’d not suggest this.
