InactiveDear Barry,
If you return to find your Humax on (blue light) then this would indicate that the unit was not placed into standby.
Please note that the Humax box can display a red light when recording a program and still be ”on”.
They just do not get it that the fault is there in the box.

Tell them the box starts recording from low power sby (or normal sby whichever you are using) – (provided you are sure it starts in sby, remember the box can be accidentally booted by using other Humax remotes), and fails to return to low power sby after recording completes and remains fully booted..
If left for 3 hrs (with auto sby enabled). does it still stay on ?

ModeratorI don’t think support have grasped that the unit is being switched on by another remote.
and
Just to be clear barryiow, if your unit has been switched on by another remote it will not go into standby after completing a timer, only after 3 hours if you have ‘auto power down’ set to on.

ModeratorWhat remote codes have you set units to so they are not supposed to interfere with one another….
Press and hold 0 (zero) and OK together on one of the units, with the other off, should display an on screen detailing the remote code currently in use.

InactiveOK I set them both again today, making sure only the one being set was plugged in.
Fox T2 is set to 1
FVP 4000T is set to 6

InactiveI have now decided to separate the FVP 4000T & the Fox T2 into different rooms & TV’s.
Both boxes are connected to the internet via my CH6643E Rooter.
Should I be able to see & play from one box the programmes on the other?

InactiveThe FVP-4000T should see all of the recordings on the HDR-FOX T2, but will only play the SD ones. The HDR-FOX T2 should see all of the recordings on the FVP-4000T, but will not play any of them.

not play any of them.
Is it understood why the HDR-FOX T2 won’t play them?

InactiveIs there a user guide to get me started, maybe I need to set up a network?
Do I go to the Humax Portal in the Fox T2?
I am completely lost.

ModeratorNote Brian’s comments at post #39
If both units are connected to router, try this…
On the FVP 4000T:
Home
Media Centre
At the bottom of the screen should be listed the media items (computers, NAS etc) the FVP 4000T can see/access on the network.
Highlight HDR-Fox T2 and OK
Highlight Contents and OK
Highlight My Video and OK
You should now see a list of the recordings on the HDR T2.

InactiveThanks for your help, but all I can see from the FVP 4000T is internal HDD & CH6643-E4C to USB.
But I did transfer a couple of films from the Fox T2 to the FVP 4000T on a USB stick, and as others have reported only the none HD recordings will play.
So I do not think there is any point in my trying to set this up as where possible I only record in HD.
Many thanks for your help Barry.
