Any official word from Humax on this issue which seems to be affecting A LOT of people?
No sign of any news from freesat, who I would expect news to come from rather than Humax.
There last update is here: http://www.freesat.co.uk/help/got-freesat/fix-a-problem/freetime-boxes-rebooting

InactiveMy Humax started the same reboot issue a few days ago. I haven’t tried unlinking it from the app, but did manage to get it stable again by installing an old firmware version (1.00.22).
I thought I would leave it running on that until the mess was cleared up!
If anyone else would like to try the same approach, the firmware is available at

InactiveIf unpairing the app stops the rebooting, that does seem to show the app is implicated, but perhaps only to the extent that when no app is paired, the box does not need to go through the sequence that is wrongly leading to the reboots.
Can someone who knows more about the subject than I, explain a bit about how satellite signal faults might affect the operation of the box? (As Humax is reported to have mentioned this as possible explanation)

InactiveThanks Barry.
I have re-loaded version 2.02.46 and performed a double reset – will see how that goes!

InactiveMy box suddenly re-booted tonight whilst watching on-demand (BBC iPlayer). Not having suffered with this issue previously I can only conclude this contagion is spreading.
I am not going to carry out any double resets as suggested and lose all my planned recording schedules. I will simply leave the box alone and continue with just my 2000T for the time being.
Hopefully Freesat will get their head out of their a***s and get this problem fixed without further delay. The amount of issues which can be laid at Freesat’s door is getting ever longer. Are their engineers on work experience?

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

Moved your post to thread already open on subject.
As you can see numerous users reported the issue, and freesat advice is to perform 2 factory resets:

I really don’t know why we are suddenly getting all these issues and why Freesat are so slow to react. I had another reboot last night. Again I was watching On-Demand although the box was recording something else at the time so that takes us no further forward.
I unpaired that Freesat app months ago as I didn’t want my box waking up every twenty minutes, so that can’t be the issue. In fact I now no longer have the app on my phone.

InactiveWe have the same reboot issue with our 1010s. It’s been going on for 10 days. I little bit of contact by email with free sat but no results. As the help page suggests, better sit tight as they are on it, if not like a car bonnet

InactiveMy 1100s also rebooted last night. I starting recording ITV HD and then I pressed record on BBC1 HD. I then cancelled the BBC1 HD one recording as I expected it to prompt for a series link (I’m used to a Sky box which manages this a little better) but it didn’t. I then used the EPG to find the program and click OK on it to see if that prompted for the series link. It didn’t, so I just set it to record again and it rebooted…
Not major but annoying as it lost a few mins of the recording on ITV HD as well.
As an aside – should the 1100s prompt for a series link if you press OK in the EPG to record a program already started? Doesn’t offer series link option to me on the few times I have done it.
