Called into nation wide Hi Fi /PC/ TV everything store today and explained the items of equipment I was looking for and the proposed use……….apparently I was speaking Klingon ……
It sounds like quite a complex positioning problem, to me. If the same sound is emanating from opposite sources, and one of the sound sources is surrounded by opaque surfaces, isn’t there a risk that either the two sources will cancel each other out, or the sound coming from the distant source will bounce off the opaque surfaces?
It appears the initial and apparently simple proposal has become somewhat complex perhaps
I shall have to just suck it and see as they say …….which is apparently neH ‘oH suck ‘ej legh ghaj….in Klingon….something a well known high street retailer may have difficulty with regarding comprehension or dialect.
