If it’s a 54.5mb file named “fvp5000t upgrade” hdf then yes it works but unfortunately only until the machine goes into standby. Then you have to download it again. Still, better than nothing.

The fix should work for that model…..check your PM’s in a couple of minutes.

have a problem with youtube – when I try to select the letters to input a search, all the letters disappear!

We have HUMAX Freesat box.

Is there a simple solution to this? Is this is a fault?

I have the same problem. Humax emailed me the update and instructions of how to update via usb stick. But my HDR 1100s box wasn’t having any of it. I tried 6 different usb sticks with the update on but my box just did nothing. Does any-one have any other ideas of how to install this update?

Check your PM’s I’ve sent the version Humax Towers sent me that definitely works with instructions – maybe the same as Humax sent you.

Thanks Barry. That is the same update and instructions I got from Humax. But I might now try the update for HDR 1000s instead of HDR 1100s, anything is worth a try. Also , in the settings of the box, update software. Is this updating via the satellite dish or the internet connection? Mine always says ‘no new software found’
