For goodness sake don’t turn into another Winston. :(

    What is a Winston?

I believe it is a reference to a poster on other forums who does not share your views on home-plugs, in fact I believe he would favour a global ban.

I wouldn’t go that far. Live and let live. But I prefer wifi.

I don’t get the reference but I’m guessing it probably has nothing to do with wifi.

What suits one does not suit another. I have no problems with wifi and prefer it. I dislike Powerline.

Original question was what WiFi dongles now work with the box since the update :-D

The little vodafone one I posted a few threads back worked after the update. I wonder if we’re going to see support for AC wifi dongles in the new update? Can’t stay on that old N chipset forever

The wifi issues would not affect the device you described in your post at https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/software-update-june-15th-2015/page/28#post-38788. As far as the Humax is concerned it’s an ethernet connection.

Can you connect to iPlayer via ch901?

No. No 901 or 903. Worked on the older firmware and before the 15th June update

Does the bridge connect if you try it with a laptop? (first turning off the laptop’s wife)

    Edit. Lol. The laptop’s wifi.

Tried that. My phone picks it up OK. The bridge is seeing my neighbours bt hub, sky routers and my Chromecast. Baffled. I’ll get a new dongle.

The reason for asking if it was both SD and HD is that HD channels encode audio differently and with HD it is passed directly to the TV to decode. The digital audit out setting change will change this so the Humax decodes it in the same way as SD sound.

Suggest you also check the HDMI cable is well seated at both ends.

Thanks again. We have not noticed it happening today but I think it’s only been on SD Wimbledon today. I changed ‘multi-channel’ to stereo yesterday. The HDMI lead is well seated too.

I will continue to monitor this one though. I may soon be obtaining a second STB for use in my caravan instead of the current FTA box. If I do and the problem persists, I will check it out on the TV before it goes to the ‘van.

    Thanks for the help.
