Inactive1 – Getting black screen have to switch off to get back!
2 – set to record switch off the deep powered way then it won’t switch back on have to switch off at plug!
Should I contact Humaxdirect who I got it off and send back?

It takes a while to boot from low power sby. The box gives no clue it’s doing anything. If you wait a few minutes it should eventually boot. This is mentioned in the manual.

I don’t know why people are saying it takes minutes to boot from deep standby. It doesn’t. From pressing power on button mine takes about 50 seconds to be fully operational

Text button on bottom right of remote doesn’t work anyone else have this problem?
TEXT button is for digital text services, but I don’t think that they exist anymore, so that would explain the button not doing anything.
The text function is still available from the BBC on other freeview compatible receivers. The announcement that it would cease earlier this year was postponed (again) a couple of days before the last date of cessation.
There was also a further announcement from the BBC in September that the BBC test services would instead be reduced mid 2021. Therefore I would expect all new freeview boxes, including the Humax Aura, to continue to be able to display the BBC text service.

3 tests, variable timings, quickest 53 secs, longest 72 secs.

InactiveVery interested in this box, Youview recently packed up saying using a Panasonic PVR but interface is horrible and slow, so looking to invest in something new. Love the idea of being android first and then Freeview service an app within. Seems the right way to go like a home media center pc! Keeping an eye to see how the bugs go as I’m sure most will be ironed out soon. One question though, has anyone tested Google Stadia on it, does it work at all/well?

Freesat appears also to not display record flags either for ” I’am a Celebrity “

Not a programme I have ever watched, however, just set (and deleted) a series link timer (itv hd) without issue.

InactiveIf the Manhattan t3-r could record more than 2 channels and search the EPG I wouldn’t touch this Aura. But I want those extra features and will wait until there has been some more firmware updates. From what Barry (senior admin) has said – there has been one so far…and where’s the blinkin’ app?

What’s the highest channel number you have in the aura epg ?
Did you elect to record from HD while looking at ITV-SD in the epg ? If so enter 103 to move to ITV-HD in the epg.

Avoid long push sby until Humax sort out the issue.
