InactiveYes I can confirm the file isn’t firmware it looks like a test file.
Anyway found out that it is the hard drive buffer/ software code error which is causing the script (box) to freeze.

InactiveI understand all that you say Graham, but I bought a Humax box and it came with miminal documentation. There is no explanation regarding the icons on the display, when they should be on, what they mean. In fact the support offered is definately sub standard.
Thank god for this forum.
My box will now only record if it is left switched on, it fails to record if left on standby regardless of programme selected. It has worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. But where is a manual to explain what all the parts are – that is a manefacturers job.

.
Icons are shown on Page 3 11 and 17 in the using your new Freesat+ box. Missed recordings is a known issue on 1.0.16, there are some workarounds discussed in various threads.

InactiveThanks graham. I’ll check it out when I get home although I didn’t think the brochure I got with the box had that many pages !
I tried just now to download a manual from the Humax website and a manual for the HDR-1000S must be hiding under some obscure variation of HDR-1000S since I’ll be …… if I can see it.

InactiveThanks for that Barry – yep thats the one I got with the box. But a simpleton like me might just possibly wonder, in a moment of idle speculation, why I couldn’t find it on the Humax site or even a link. The failure just seems so unprofessional, but what do I know.
But my complaint was not about the onscreen (TV) icons, but the little lights(icons) on the Humax box itself which I look at in puzzlement when it goes wrong (correction – does not do what I expect.)

InactiveIssues that need support on are….
Admin Edit:
Link removed..
1. Using the freesat freetime splash as a background is a blatant attempt to make this look official, it is not.
Will contact freesat, and if they are happy then consideration will be given to replacing the link again.
2. The list contained errors, suggestions for improvements
: and issues that cannot be attributed to Humax, or the HDR 1000S.

InactiveNo im fine – I still think its weird that there is no support on the humax website that details firmware, faq’s, etc etc.
Users will go to humax first before finding any usermaintained forum – although this forum is excellent.
