InactiveQuote:It’s not possible to link the other TV’s cable from the dish.Is the foxsat portable ?
Your earlier posts suggested you have a TV with a direct satellite feed which works. I’d try using this to prove the foxsat is ok by moving the foxsat to the other TV and trying it there. Mark the coax cables at the foxsat end before disconnecting to avoid mixing them up later.
Connect the good satellite feed to foxsat LNB 1 IN and the foxsat TV output to the TV using HDMI. If you get the same issue, then it suggests the foxsat has failed.
If the foxsat works at the other TV, we are left with the suspicion is it could be the LNB, the coax cable ends, the coax cables themselves (probably the LNB1 connection) at the Samsung TV location.
With the now proven foxsat back in the Samsung location, you can start narrowing down where the problem may be.
The cable ends you’ve shown look ok, but it might be worth re-making them and retesting with the new ends in place.
Check for a problem just on the LNB1 cable by putting the LNB2 cable onto the LNB 1 IN connector leaving LNB 2 IN disconnected. If the foxsat starts to work in single cable mode then it suggests a problems with cable 1 (or the LNB itself).

InactiveAll works as advertised on secondary TV with the antenna feed connected directly to the from the dish and Foxsat box connected to HDMI2. Set up worked and tuning successful.
Reconnection to Samsung TV:
I’m not able to identify which LNB cable is which (1 and 2) as there doesn’t appear to be an identification mark on either?

InactiveOk, this
Quote:the antenna feed connected directly to the from the dish and Foxsat box connected to HDMI2isn’t clear, but I’m assuming you’ve proved the Foxsat is ok by using LNB 1 IN and the known good satellite cable at the other TV.
The cable numbering is arbitrary. The foxsat uses whatever is connected to LNB 1 IN as ‘primary’. From what you’ve told us so far, in the original set up, the feed into LNB 1 IN was suspect.
Marking your cables before disconnecting them was to allow you to move the LBN 2 IN cable to the LNB 1 IN connector – after we had proved the foxsat working.
If you didn’t mark the cables before taking them off it is just a case of connecting the original coax cables one at a time to LNB 1 IN. Just use a bit of tape or tie something on one of the cables so you can keep track of which is which.
The advice is to power the foxsat off while changing the cables.
Check functionality each time to find if either, both or neither of the original two coax feeds works when connected to LNB 1 IN.

InactiveThe old adage: “Do nothing and it’ll sort itself out”!!!!
Bizarrely all seems to work as advertised now.

InactiveHave you confirmed that both tuners report a good quality signal ?
This will not be apparent until you try to simultaneously record 2 channels on different transponders. Most likely one (at least) of the connectors has a suspect connection.

InactiveThanks Dino, I’ll give that a try in due course.
