Excellent, this problem starred this morning for me, and this solution seems to have solved it completely! I was on my way to buy a new box tomorrow as Humax “representatives” told me it was shafted!
Welcome to the Forum

Glad to hear we have helped.
In fairness to the ‘representative’ once the reports started coming in, it took a little while to determine what was amiss. As I stated earlier, am amazed at the amount of owners who have not updated software for one reason or another.
Humax Towers have also pulled the stops out to get the OTA schedule re-arranged for 24hour turn around on their software.

InactiveHi Barry
My 9150T – is stuck on software 1.00.18
I have tried the automatic update of new software but it comes back with no new software found.
The regular auto-updater is enabled.
Am I stuck on the one channel (without unplugging the whole thing)until the new software release tomorrow sometime?

ModeratorWelcome to the Forum

I am afraid that is the bottom line at the moment.
I have been tinkering throughout the afternoon trying to find a work around, but no joy.
As you have realised software for 9150 is not currently on air but back on tomorrow after 10am.

InactiveMy 9300T started freezing today. I’ve updated to latest software (fortunately on air half an hour ago) and unit is now back to normal. Must say, in response to previous comments, that my Humax is on 24/7 but did not update the software!!

Welcome to our Forum

Reason yours did not update as per your edit, it is on 24/7. Unit needs to be in standby overnight to pick up OTA when broadcast.
I have had 9150/9200/9300 latest software versions on throughout the afternoon without issue.

InactiveHI
I have Humax 9150T (v-4.37)?
My remote control has not been working nor the main unit, since lunch time today. I have tried everything I can find online (no luck) and even phoned HUMAX (no 28 in queue!!!) didn’t hold.
HELPPPPPPP!!!

ModeratorWelcome to the Forum

Check software version via Menu, System, Status – Software version.
I suspect you will find an older version then the currently released 1.00.26.
Over the Air broadcast starts tomorrow at approx 10am. for the 9150.
See page 2 of this thread post #12 for a pdf explaining the OTA update procedures.

InactiveWow – Great to get a quick response…. Thank you.
Checked and you are right, version is 1.00.14 (Update date is Dec 17 2008!!!).
I have ran software update automatically but none found. Shall I wait til morning now?
December 14, 2011 at 8:20 pm #28778Barry
ModeratorYes wait until after 10am the 9150 version should then be on air.
It won’t find anything now as 9300 version is currently being broadcast.
You know where to find us if you have difficulties tomorrow

InactiveSame problem here. My Humax PVR-9300T hasn’t been able to change channel either using the remote or on the box all evening. Glad to see I’m not alone then

InactiveI have my 9150T switched on 24/7 and have automatic updates enabled, set to kick off every day at 04:00, the unit also does a quick update of some sort or other (no idea what) rather more often than that, seemingly at random, any time of the day (maybe twice per week? We’ve never kept a note as it only takes a second).
So it came as something of a surprise to find that it’s got software version 1.00.14 dated way back when, sometime in the late Cretaceous Period

Well, tomorrow morning after 10:00 it is. With any luck all should be well by the time we get home after work.
Thanks for the reassuring information Barry, I was dreading having to buy a new PVR.

InactiveMore thanks for Barry et al – great forum. Our 9150T started freezing today. The Mrs’ immediate reaction was to try to talk me into getting Sky as it is out of warranty. Me, who is less keen to throw away pennies (especially in Murdoch’s direction), thought I would dig a bit deeper.
Have printed the OTA PDF ready for tomorrow. The upgrade schedule is here

ModeratorWelcome to the Forum mwsomerton:-)
The unit has to be in standby to auto update.
When you get home from work tomorrow you will have to initiate a manual update unless you change the update time to something after 10 am, and leave the unit in standby whilst you are at work.
