ParticipantTo start again with a clean slate just open a telnet session to your HDR and enter this command :
rm /opt/etc/.DO_NOT_DELETE_THIS_FILE
(note the dot included in the filename)
then reboot the box.
This will reset your custom firmware environment back to the point as if you had just flashed the custom firmware. You can then re-install the full web interface and apps again from scratch.

InactiveI did these steps,
1) Ran fix-disk…no change,
2)Cleared webIf according to the instructions, then re-installed.
3) then retuned the Humax, and BBC 1 Wales SD and HD recording would set and display correctly,
4)Ran WebIf and trimmed channels not wanted but left Wales BBC1 SD and HD, Same error shows up when saving the configuration from Webif…
..but Checked recordings and BBC1 Wales SD is wrong !! BBC1 Wales HD is ok .

Try trimming just a few channels at a time in small blocks, or even one at a time at first, to try and locate which channel(s) is generating the error.

Your not making yourself very clear. Checked recordings where, and how? And what exactly is wrong with the BBC1 Wales SD recording ?

InactiveSorry if it sounds confusing.
What I mean by BBC 1 Wales SD is wrong,,I mean the reservation time as shown after selection shows as it did before,,09/01..03.14-03.14 ..I just described it as being wrong.
Your idea of trimming a few channels at a time is a good one. I shall try that. In fact I could try just saving the whole list, without trimming anything, and see if it generates the error, just by saving, never thought of that.
I do appreciate your support, for this very annoying issue.

Inactive..and I had another thought,,,in the middle of the night !
Could it be that the browser I am using (Google Chrome) is the problem. I seem to recall that sometime ago it was reported to be a problem.

InactiveI just did the trimming in a new browser (Windows 10 Edge) and although the error showed up while saving, the recording problems with BBC 1 Wales SD has been fixed. I set a recording on BBC 1 Wales SD and it showed the correct times in the reservation window.
So my conclusion is that Google Chrome is causing some sort of problem when trying to save using Webif, and I shall avoid using it in the future.
I am also quite convinced that I have had this same problem, about missing recordings in the past year or so. I have had no explanation other than to assume we haven’t set it correctly or forgot or some other excuse. But I am now convinced it was this problem, and I never noticed that the reservation was wrong. I will continue to monitor until I gain confidence that the problem is truly solved, and report back if it isn’t.
Thanks so much for the support, which got the little grey cells going !

InactiveOnly problem I now have is that I have lost the ability to remove the HD encoding.
I had the extra script file installed but seem to have been overwritten during a reinstallation. I wonder if anyone has it available.
Thanks
