    On many TV Brands and Models it works fine.

    Even differnt models from within the same brand can vary.

    It would seem that the different boot times of both both devices can be important. My Philips smart TV takes a while and I guess it can miss the wakeup.

    The other complexity is which unit is waking the other.

    Since the 3.00.18 firmware was rolled out in December we’ve been having problems with video files via townky being played back ‘stretched’ so that any black bars in films are no longer shown. Obviously this distorts images and is unpleasant to watch – does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix? I have tried playing with the various picture settings on the box and the TV (old 32″ Bravia LCD) but to no avail. I will happily roll back to a previous firmware prior to 3.00.20 if anyone can tell me how.
