EPG recordings working OK first thing yesterday but all failing later in the day. Manually set recordings working OK but that’s not an ideal solution. Have just tried setting a 5 min padding at each end and that appears to be working.

InactiveHi all (new member – so pleased to find this forum!). I have 2 Foxsat HDR boxes and both stopped recording yesterday which at least suggests it’s not the individual boxes and something more central/ software related? Manual recording and pause still works as with others. I will try the padding solution later when home. Would be a disaster to lose the preset record functions…!

Hello
Another newbie with the same problem. Is there some kind of St. Valentine’s Day massacre of Humax recording?
Last Friday I set about six programmes to record, one for Saturday, and about seven for Sunday (I was away for the weekend). They all recorded (from the Guide button) perfectly.
Yesterday, I set six programmes to record. All showed that the recording command had registered, but none of them started. Tuning to the station and pressing the manual record button salvaged some of them, but due to conflicting programmes, I wasn’t quick enough to catch all of them. Thank goodness for catch up!
Tried to set progs to record this morning as a test. Both failed again.
Given the number of posts on the forum, this can’t be a coincidence, surely?

InactivePadding worked for me. Recorded This Morning (only thing that was starting at time) and it has recorded. I’ve also recorded the programme immediately after so am curious to see if it’ll actually record, time will tell
I also need to see if can record two programmes at same time.

InactiveSame problem. Thanks TimK, padding the start with 1 min worked for a trial. Now trying 1 min before start and auto stop. Fingers crossed. Clearly something has changed with EPG or software for so many people to have been affected.

InactiveDoes anyone know if Freesat are aware of or working on this problem?

InactiveHi again all. Just tried the (5 min) padding solution and yes it worked – 2 programmes at once. Waiting with interest to hear if the 1 min solution works and/ or if there is a central fix coming from HUMAX/ FREESAT….

InactiveI’ve just tried to go in and adjust the padding time but there is now no longer a “recording” item to choose from. By having 5 mins either end it did record one programme after another. Does anyone know how I can shorten padding time please?

InactiveI Googled it, seems you can’t change it whilst it is recording so will see if can do later.

InactiveI had the same problem which started yesterday, so also tried TimK2011’s tip of padding and it works a treat. I had tried the factory reset and all the other tips on other sites and this was the only one that actually worked. Hopefully it is just an error with the auto timing which Freesat can fix, in the meantime I will leave the 5min padding on. Thanks TimK2011
