I have a settings option for the package as well.

Thanks to a friend. If you go to this webpage, http://hummypkg.org.uk/foxsat/, it lists all the packages and allows you to download the individual opk file which you can the manually install.

Finding the method to manually install. OP will likely need to setup telnet option on Box and PC.

That’s interesting. I tried putting the package list address directly into Firefox, and I could download it OK. Then I put the fixfilenames address into Firefox, and again I could download it OK. I repeated what I did on Wednesday but still got the two errors which say they use wget. I downloaded the latest version of wget.exe (64bit) and put it into my Program Files folder, but the interface came up with the same errors. Where is it looking for wget? Is there a way of manually installing the fixfilenemes .opk package?

More Info Needs Telnet or Samba to the Box.

Needs telnet to run the commands, but you will also need FTP or samba to copy the OPK file to the Foxsat-HDR.

Install Packages from the command line

Copy the opk file to /opt then run:

    cd /opt

    opkg install fixfilenames_1.0-2_mips.opk

Also try clearing the browser cache.

I can connect to the Humax address using telnet. The prompt says Foxsat -HDR~# but I don’t know what to enter to install the fixfilenames.opk package, if that’s possible.

Have you got a copy of fixfilenames_1.0-2_mips.opk on your PC and have copied it to the opt folder on the Foxsat using samba or FTP?

Sorry, hpkg.tv redirects to hummypkg.org.uk which is where I went.

    Check your PM’s

Download the file from the PM Link I posted.

Copy this to opt using Samba or Filezilla

In the telnet window once the file is in opt

    cd /opt enter

    opkg install fixfilenames_1.0-2_mips.opk enter

Once loaded go to settings and enable the add on

Remember to reboot the box after the install. The above refers to after you have telnetted into the Box.

I attach the view shown in Windows Explorer – no opt folder. I also attach the view of FileZilla when it failed to connect with the IP address. If telnet is connected, these two windows do not change.
