If there are no channels you aren’t locked onto a satellite group. A common error is to align on 19.2E. This would result in channels in german as 19.2E has some transponders with the same parameters as 28.2E.
https://en.kingofsat.net/freqs.php?&pos=19.2E&standard=All&ordre=freq&filtre=Clear
If you were correctly aligned on 28.2E. A all transponder FTA scan should find about 500 radio and TV channels (498)

Excellent most likely 19.2E. It’s very close to 28.2E.

InactiveUpdate! I still cannot watch any prorammes. When I check signal info in settings, it says there are 2 cables connected, but no signal. When I do a channel search it finds all channels and tells me there is a good signal on both tuners, yet I cannot get a picture. I hate humax…..

enter 106 and press the instant record to start recording BBC 1 HD, enter 105 to move to CH5-HD and press the instant record button again
If that works you must have two independent tuners as one is vertically polarised and the other is horizontal.
Check the freesat home transponder using manual tune as before. Signal info only displays data for the currently used transponder.
Channel search will only use tuner 1. Reverse the inputs and try again. It just checks for a 2nd cable – not sure how. its likely the cable on tuner 2 has no feed.

InactiveBoth BBC 1 HD &Channel 5 record icons worked. Changed over cables readings as before, on settings no signals but on channel search good signal on both cables

Channel search only uses one tuner so it can’t report signal on tuner 2. It just reports number of cables found. What does channel 5 record icons mean. If you can start the two recordings the box must have two working tuners. they should both be in the recordings list. Stop both recordings. Tune to 106 and bring up signal info. tune to 111 and bring up signal info again.
When you pressed 106 were you able to watch BBC 1 HD England ?

InactiveWhen I pressed record for BBC1 & CH 5, the recording icons came on but there was nothing in the listings.
Tuned to 106 & 111 signal info was Tuner 1–no signal
Tuner 2 – good/normal (on both channels)
No picture on either

Could be lnb skew is not set correctly

Suggests a duff connection on the cable connected to tuner 1 in. turn off the box. disconnect the cable, screw off the f connector and check there are whispers of screen touching the centre core conductor.
