Did a default reset and everything is now working apart from On Demand.
Showcase working.
On Demand disappeared on my box this morning and also for JamesB
I have the Humax FOXSAT-HDR box and ITV Player has always been erratic. Last Night I decided to reset to factory settings and re-install. Still NO ITV Player! It gives the Error message – “No internet connection detected. Please check that your connection and settings are correct (50040)”
BBC iPlayer works fine and TV, box etc are Ethernet connected to a Technicolor Router.
Yes ITV Player on Freesat is a bit hit and miss.
If you get the error message press back and it will load and allow you to watch.
Humax, can we have the newer version please as this is more reliable and has much better picture quality.
Sadly, pressing the Back button as suggested does not work! Still no ITV Player, whats going on?
Pressing back for me took me back into the player and allowed me to play it.
Have you tried a reboot?
I had to go back and in again twice from the Guide to get playback.
I have emailed Humax, who recommended an “upgrade file FOXSAT-HDR_upgrade.hdf” (there were several to my amazement!) I downloaded the file and installed the patch, but still getting Error message ” No Internet Connection 50040″.
Looking at the system settings after Factory resets etc the Router settings still appear to be greyed out at zero’s though there is an IP? address at the bottom.
Meanwhile I have written to Human again.
